hey mr. matt dont want to offend you or anything but...I always wondered and i'm curious, who would win a mix martial artist or a chinese kick boxer like coach cheng?
@monkeyusa111 No offense taken at all. It depends completely on the rules. If they were fighting under Chinese kickboxing rules than Coach Cheng. Under MMA rules, then a MMA fighter. Coach Cheng didn't train in wrestling or Brazilian jiu-jitsu, so once the fight went to the ground, he'd lose. Styles make fights, but rules make styles. MMA is the most realistic combat sport because it has the fewest rules.
Well said, and a good point. When I was there, the only place a foreign student could live or train was the Wushu Guan, which was about a block from the actual Shaolin Temple. Most of the monks lived there as well. Things have changed a bit since then, but not as much as some claim. I hope that helps... Matthew
awsome love the end walking down the street with a broardesword and spear only in china man we have these crap laws in Australia where we have to keep our swords locked away at all times
I love that shot. That was what Shaolin was like. Just walking down the street with one's sword and spear. Kung fu all the time. Hope you enjoy the book.
Lipeng's father, WOW, I love that guy, and Cinderella looks just like I imagined when I was reading your book. I can't wait to see more stuff from your party. Thanks Matt.
