Wii Graphics Problem

You have to reflow that GPU. That graphical glitches are symptoms of cold solder joints of the GPU Chip. Something like the 3 red lights of dead of the Xbox 360 caused by heat breaking the solder, in this case, caused by the Wi-Fi constant heat when WiiConnect24 is turned on.

that happens when the gpu overheats, if it is your third console you should consider checking for power surges or shitz like those

i have the same problem dude, its the GPU( graphics procesing unit) it happens a lot more in the first consoles released. And it gets worse(at least in my case) in fog effects on the games.

This artifacting is because of the fan turning off in standby when 24 is activated... Deactivate it, or pull the wii plug completely... Or, if you're lazy like me, buy a switch for your power socket, costs cents, saves lot of trouble :)

Artifacting. It happens because when the Wii turns off and goes into standby, the fan is not running, thus it overheats and can fry the graphics card.

in what way at all does it suck? better graphics (up to 1080p, where as the wii does 480ish), far better processor, hd compatible, blu ray discs capable of holding up to 5 times as much as the best DVD, better controllers, much better online and FAR better games.

ahaah nothing?? absolutely loads of new games like resi 4, final fantasy XIII, fuel, lord of the rings conquest, and way more. also even more stuff added to playstation home (look it up). the wiis exclusives are so poor, so cheap and low quality in terms of graphics and gameplay that they may aswell be on the n64. the wii is just a slightly improved gamecube with nothing else to say for itself except the motion control. also, i have a wii, and i got bored of it in 8 months, and bought a PS3.

@paramora173ovi Same here. I've had mine for a bit more than two years, it's still kicking. Though as far as it being 'an adult system', that depends on what you mean. I've seen more douchebag kids on Live than on PC games. Even the 10-year-olds are more mature than your average Live player. Must be because you get kicked if you're a douche, thank you server admins.

i own both wii and ps3. i had to return my ps3 for a new one last month, cuz its blu-ray drive stopped working. so both systems have equal flaws!

If you still want to use WC24, buy a cooling stand. But you still need to turn it off occasionally because it still gets hot, but not always.

Your graphic card is overheated, i have it to. You can still play games normal. But its verry anoying. Anyway, you can send it to nintendo and you'll get a new wii back. But that takes 3/4 weeks..

1. If you don't see bright green flicker on the screen u must be blind.

2. Problem appeared in every game i owned (Zelda TP, rayman, RE4, zack&Wiki and many more) Even in system menu.

ohh, i thougt that as from the TV (You know old TV's) your Wii is overheating! (Thats so, thats why the green flicker are comming) you need to buy a Cooler fo the Wii (I did just buy one)
