To make it? Or to use it? :) I designed it so the average gamer should be able to program it without a struggle. I think today's average 8 year old could figure it out. But I'm sure many adults would have an aneurysm trying to use one. :)

Well, I have some Instructables on how to do hardware hacking on a controller, but not for this specific mod. The real key to this mod is the firmware on the microcontroller that does the recording and execution. It took a couple months to develop, and it's about 30 pages code. I think the easiest place to start with microcontrollers is to get a picaxe or basic stamp, and just start playing with it.
