I've had 2 Jackson DK's, one DK2M and could never keep the thing in tune.  I've owned Floyds for several years, never could figure it out. Tried everything, even a tremel-no and nothing worked. Last thing I tried was to sharpen the knife edge's and it was better but still never worked completely. My DKMG absolutely will NOT go out of tune! It works fantastic, I couldn't be happier and haven't had to touch anything. I run 10-46 strings and after my initial setup it's perfect!

@upnorthbacon Aren't they the exact same floyd? Must be a hit and miss thing or your first guitar wasn't set up as well as your second.

@AdamLeeGuitar That's the strange thing, they were the same and I set them both up, and had a tech try setting the one up as well. Never could address the problem and sold it. I've set up a lot of floyds and this was the only one I couldn't get to stay in tune.

I got a used DK2 (I think) that I was having the same problems with. I don't even use the tremolo much, but I bend a lot. So I had the tremolo blocked off by a tech and put some 11's on. Tuning problems are history.

Yeah, but the trem has already been blocked off. I didn't really plan on using it much when I got that guitar anyways.

Great guitar demos guys and thanks for the videos but there is absolutely nothing scientific to any of this. Tests performed on one guitar to another were wildly different. On video 3 of 5 you are pulling on the strings but you don't do that on this video.

I have that guitar!!! very good guitar, one of my main guitars at the moment. only problem is that within time the licenced floyd cant hold the tuning even with only a little whammy use... modified it with a OFR and EMG pickups and IT ROCKS!
