I don't know if they "sold out" but they definitely went toward a more commercial type of music. I think when they saw that "Fly" did well they gravitated toward a mellower kind of music. It's a shame too, because "Breathe" off Floored is one of my favorite songs.

Lets just stick to the video comments. A little history about this video. This was their first video directed by McG. They all dressed up in jockstraps, cowboy boots and football helmets and walked into Atlantic Records and gave them the video.Atlantic called them up and signed them. True story.
Unfortunately, Atlantic Records screwed them the same way they did with P.O.D. Like Sugar Ray, P.O.D. kept on with the heavy sound that they originally began with when they were indie, but after 2 albums on Atlantic the label insisted that they become more melodic and softer to sell more albums. Sadly, their career went downhill from there until they finally parted ways with the label in 2006. Sugar Ray was more successful by going pop, but that's only because they went 100% pop.
It's a pity, the pop songs are really good though, but they shouldn't just change their music to sell albums, Floored went Double Platinum only because of Fly, which is kind of sad.
I hate to sound racist or ignorant, but the reason why we don't speak Native American languages is because the original settlers conquered them. Back then there were different times and the European technologies were superior to that of the Native Americans. I'm not saying that Europeans are superior to Native Americans. It's not fair, but thats how the world works. If Mexico conquers the US, I will be happy to learn Spanish. But until then, newcomers should learn the host language.
