@RocketSTI i think when they built the crv they wanted to design an efficient way to power all 4 wheels and since the front wheels are more efficient to power than the rear wheels thats what they went with and i assume their goal was just to have the 4wd to be there when needed under light terrain nothing hardcore.
FYI its actually 4wd not awd =p
