Kind of...With the dual cases both of the drivelines have to be custom made because they are a totally different length than stock. I had mine done by a shop that specializes in drivelines. It's something you want to budget for if you go to dual cases. A custom rear driveshaft is not cheap.
Mine was re done during the recall in the 90's and I've had no issues since. I'd be leery of one that was high mileage and not given any TLC. Mine is maintained meticulously and has been for the last 150K. That makes a big difference over the life of an engine.
thanks for the help man. I had a '91 and the dealership tried to fix it all the time and couldn't. They did something to clean out the engine and told us it was like havin a new engine but it didnt do much. Mine had Oil Gelling problems, is that the same as having a bad head gasket?
This was right after it came out of the fab stage. The SAS was brand new and all 4 springs were new. It settled out quite a bit after the springs broke in.
thats great!!! i just wanna know what tires you ended up putting on and i couldnt tell from the video, it looked like i could see leaf springs but did u have an SAS??? and marlin crawler has great stuff!!!
He's showing the gear ratio's. It's 223.1. All he did is put it in low gear, and drop the clutch. The gearing is so low that it doesn't kill the engine without the clutch. It just creaps along...haha very nice.
I used to have a '95 4runner with the 3.0 V6. And yeah same as you, I got 11 miles to the gallon in it. It sucked. So I got a '95 Tacoma with the 2.7 liter 4cylinder. I average about 17MPG in it. So it's better and has the same power easily.
