@ZerrickiShadow Thanks for your comment. I actually ran afoul of some clowns on the Internet a few years ago who made great sport of mocking my concern over African affairs. With some, it goes beyond not caring to actually being mean-spirited and nasty about what goes on in Africa. They don't realize how it's all connected, it affects us all.
@MovieMattness What sorts of remarks did they make? To be honest seems the only genocide that many people are concerned with, is the Holocaust. Now granted the Holocaust was tragic but it there are many others like it, and no one truly stopped the Holocaust, they all sat back and turned a blind eye to it.
@ZerrickiShadow It was a variety of things. I kind of lost my shit over it on a message board where it was going on. I won't repeat too much for fear someone else might pick up on it and run with the joke. But because of my hypersensitivity, whenever a reference to Rwanda is made, I know it's someone trying to get under my skin (for instance, one guy wrote something about being so weak you "cave in like a Rwandan skull under a machete" or something to that effect).
Really interesting and thanks for giving some attention to a wildly unknown tragic incident. The US/UN should have stopped it but we didn't. We only care for our need sand don't want to help anyone unless it bennefits us.
Thanks for giving the genocide some attention, it is sad most Americans don't care.
