LUCKILY, it has been re-recast, to at least a better actor than Bill. I have trust in Simon Pegg, but I just can't imagine him as Reepicheep. Shame, shame.

Quick question GPuddle, it says in the chracter descriptions at the start of each book befor ethe story starts, that Jadis is in the Silver Chair, I presume she is the Lady of the Green Kirtle, BUT it never says in the actual story nor has anyone ever confirmed that Jadis is the LOTGK, what is your view on this? Do you think Jadis is the LOTGK? And why is it stated at the start of each book in the character description, that Jadis is the LOTGK when it has not been confirmed?

The LotGK is most definitly NOT the White Witch. This was an error made by HarperCollins.

The main thing that started this idea is that BBC cast the same actress in both roles to save money.

HaHa DLF take it easy mate! Eddie was great but Bill is seriously not half bad at all! He´s always done a great job in all the movies I´ve seen with him. As much as I love continuity this is going to turn out fine. Trust me.

bill nighy played davy jones in pirates.. he has a voice thats pretty close to eddie's, so it might end up not being a big problem.. still, i was looking forward to eddie's next performance, so thats one less thing to be optimistic about

Eddie Izzard was great. Disappointed he was replaced! I want to know the reason why this change took place. I like your theories. I was thinking the same things. Im pretty sure that Bill Nighy will do a good job, but I'm worried about how the voice will sound. If it's squeaky---ugh i can't describ my anger for that..

I'll have to listen to Bill Nighy voice and see what I think. I haven't watched PC enough to become fond enough of Eddie's voice. Better than changing Aslan's voice, or replacing one of the Pevensie children. Eddie may have been spot on for Reep, but hey, who knows, Bill may be even better. Who know what he is capable of.

This was my most favorite video you have ever done because of your friend coming in, and you getting the power cord and you goping to talk tp your other friend. really enjoyed it, and I agree with you on some points about the recast. I think however we need to be a bit more optimistic about Bill and hope he will do good.

i agree! when when it comes down to it, even though izzard was amazing and ill miss him, if they did have to replace him im glad its Nighy and not anyone else. hes a great actor and one of the only people i can see take on the role and hopefully do a good job.

I've just bought into Izzard's voice so much. I almost hear that voice when I read the book now, which is pretty remarkable considering what a beloved character he is, and how long these books have been apart of these books.

oh my gawd no! uh! damn it,I mean its just as if completing the Narnia books as feature films is just so hard and I have NO idea why!!! first Disney kicks Narnia to the curve,then Fox picks it up,gives Caspian a beard like hes a freakin pirate,throws in abunch of fight scenes and i giant sea serpent fight at the end,we see sum mysterious lil girl to go along with too,and now there is a recast for Reepicheep........WOW! idk if we will be seeing Silver Chair and I hate to say that...;(

Bill's voice isn't that far off from Ed's take on Reep. Could be, if you went into a coma yesterday and awoke on the day of Dawn Treader's release, you would not notice a difference, or would just think Eddie was aging him up. The producers have proven that they take the character seriously so odds are they will do due diligence to him, even if it's not a artistic change that they planned.

The point is this probably will be alright, if not better, so don't get upset unless you really want to.

To be honest I hate when they change a good voice actor for another one. The character who that person voices feels completely diferent afterwards. I feel your pain GPuddle, sigh

The funny thing is that because I live in Latin America we will porbably have the same voice dub actor for the voice of reep, from caspian, so we´ll not notice the diference.

It´s a shame that Eddie is not returning though, because I also watch the English version of the movies, and his voice was very good for Reep.
