Too bad Fahrenheit didn't age well at all... It was a blast when it was bearable to play a game on the PlatStation 2 that tried to sport a realistic graphic style, but now it just looks like grainy crap with awkward characters which ruins the only thing making the game playable, the plot.

Jen proves within the first minute of the review that she has no idea what she's talking about. This notion that your actions actually determine much of the story's outcome is not true; it's just Quantic Dream's marketing line, and she just repeats it uncritically. The game is extremely linear, and, in some instances, can even be "played" by just putting the controller down and watching the action on the screen. It's an extremely passive experience.

The thread was deleted within a minute, but I just came in at the right time to let that dude spoil the game for me. I know how Jen feels when she says she's overwhelmed by too many decisions in Heavy Rain. As an OCD, obsessed, video game completionist, playing Heavy Rain was my worst nightmare. I had to get the best ending. I couldn't miss any locations by having a character die or making the wrong choice. I couldn't live with the consequences if I failed an action. I had to have all the trophies. An entirely new play through to get one trophy? Are you mad? These are the problems I had with Heavy Rain.

What is a Mario gamer? Bad games are bad games. Just like Indigo Prophecy, it had an interesting hook, but it fell on it's face in execution. Worth trying at least once, but many are going to be unimpressed by the game in total after the wow-factor evaporates.

This game has more plot holes than answers. Everyone in this game and I mean EVERYONE is either homicidal maniac, psyhopath or has some emotional problems. Really after 2 hours I expected every new NPC to try to kill my character and I was always right.

I hated plot and storyline as much as I hated controls and gameplay.

This game is 5/10 max and mostly thanks to graphics and music.

Sounds like a horrible game, that would make a good movie. Jen went through the whole checklist of gameplay aspects that make it a game in the first place and called every single one of them bad. I think, if the plot is the only thing your game has going for it, you should change your occupation.

@koosjuh75 Well I think this depends on the definition of "Game" I'm pretty sure you can like Heavy Rain for what it is, but how much "game" really is in it? Ist the Interactive part really necessary in this case or is it just an obstacle? In my honest opinion it would be better off without the most of the interactive parts. I think you can keep the QTEs if you just make a DVD Game out of it which could work much better. But again It depends on the perspective.
