  • "Straight white male" = Douche bag?

You are setting a bad example for the future.

  • Love it

  • I came here thinking this was against the "It Gets Better" videos, and got really angry. Then I watched it and realized how AWESOME this guy is for making this. Hopefully this will open the eyes of all the DOUCHEBAGS in this world (:

  • @jkrowling46 wow, you misunderstood what he meant.

  • Comment removed

  • @jkrowling46 Either you weren't paying attention or you're on of the people he's talking about in the video.

  • XD funny

  • Trololololol

  • Clever >.>

  • haha fuckin hilarious!

  • Love this =)!! Your awesome sir =)!

  • 143 people missed the like button because the video ended, and it got worse.

  • Too funny :)

  • If only it did get worse for douchebags :\

  • @TheAndiePerson

Some douchebags grow up, & it gets better for them after they admit they were douchebags.

This is a funny video, and brings up the question - what happens to bullies later? Although many bullying victims may take some pleasure in this, I think the real situation is that "it gets" a billion different things, all depending.

The message that ought to be given to LGBT youth is: It usually does get better post-high-school, but with some extra effort it can get a LOT better!

  • Do some of these people realize that this is comedy?

  • This guy is awesome!

  • Not the way to deal with bullies in my opinion. Many people bully because they feel hopeless. Telling them they are solves nothing, and adds to the problem. I get what you were going for, but... Nope. Missed the mark.

  • @TheStutteringMan theyre not trying to deal with bullies... its just supposed to be funny

  • yeah except once we get married we get pussy ALMOST whenever we want

  • @millerliteisgud Until your wife ends up hating you. You'll also figure out the Miller Lite is the shittiest beer ever.

  • @Gordonovski yeah I tried it at a party two weeks ago and was quite disappointed. Also I made this account when I was like 11 and thought my username made me cool lol

  • @millerliteisgud LOL Try asking a man who has been married for a number of years how often he has sex, you may be incredibly disappointed.

  • @jonathanUtah1 Oh yes it can be worse. I could be intolerant, like you, and make comments on videos that are completely irrelevant to the message. Now please, leave the nice skit comedians alone. Have a nice day.

  • @tuckerwolf The AIDS quilt is growing and your name will be on it.

  • @jonathanUtah1 If you knew how AIDS was transmitted, I would be worried- have fun in Utah with your misleading and incorrect safe sex education. Merry Christmas.

  • @tuckerwolf So your AIDS was from a dick and not a needle. Or maybe it was a needle dick.

  • @jonathanUtah1 And once again, you have made another incorrect assumption, along with being quite vulgar at the same time and managed to present a strawman argument; which is to say that you ignored the statement presented to you and just went on with another subject in some hope to deter to conversation. Please stop making assumptions, because it is not helpful to anyone. FYI, I have sex with only women, though any intercourse without protection has a big risk of STD transmission.

  • @jonathanUtah1 I will note that your original statement has been removed by Youtube due to the public’s dislike with your statement. And the more you continue down this path of making cruel statements, the more people will vote you down. The more someone fights against harassment, the more allies they will find. No one deserves to be bullied. No child should ever want to die.

Live and let live, I don’t question your right to be happy, I ask that you consider that for others.

  • @tuckerwolf Merry Christmas. I hope you continue to practice safe sex and I hope you sterilize your needles.

  • ill have a waaaaamburger and some french cries.

  • Gays and whites can tear each other to shreds. Solves two major problems.

  • Somebody call the waaaaaaaambulance.....

  • Guys. He isn't addressing all straight people, just the douchebags who ridicule their glbt peers. T_T

  • After my friend keeps spamming me with "It gets better" videos and won't leave me alone. This is a bit of a relief. I'm all for gay rights and stopping the bullying of gays and lesbians but don't continually shove it into my face

  • I think this video is more directed at the popular kids in high school. We nerds shall rise above.

  • @GrayStudios you sound like an 80s movie

  • Too Funny!

  • "How long does it last? Twenty-one years."

    Great work.

  • lol i think the "it gets better" project is a wonderful, important, and noble, necessary thing to do, but this video is pretty fuckin funny. when i first started watching it i thought i was going to be offended because i would put my life on the line to protect gay rights as one of the straight people standing behind them, but this guy isn't being offensive to gays, it was actually pretty funny.

  • opposite of a motivational speaker

  • This is stupid for all you straight youth out there who were raised the correct way don't worry it does not get worse and if it does it has absolutely nothing to do with this shit! Straight people who picked on or did not pick on people in highschool will all grow up and some who did pick on gays will do great things and some will not and visa versa same with gays if your gay doesnt mean your some great idea person and will grow up to do awesome things.

  • @sportsfreek2121 It's a joke. STFU.

  • @sportsfreek2121 There is no "correct way" to raise your kids in terms of sexuality. Whether you're gay or straight, it doesn't matter.

This is coming from somebody who's bi.

  • @sportsfreek2121 It is a joke. As a gay man who was raised by straight people I wanna go on record as saying "I love you". In fact I love my straight son, my straight grandchildren. And in fact their lives are getting better.

  • Adults act the same as kids in high school do, they just learn to do it in ever more manipulative and discreet ways, lol.

  • @AnnieIzzaBeast Don't you dare suggest that adult life might not be a magical fairy tale where you get a job at Facebook, Google or Pixar. Fucking monster

  • @version191 Everyone working at Pixar are like kids. I went to visit my cousin that works there and I saw grown men getting from place to place riding on Scooters inside the building. Though not the motor ones. It was awesome...

  • It Gets Better Kids, assuming you are white, have money, aren't ugly, and are somehow able to escape the soul crushing banality and tedium of adult life, lol.

  • duh, none of the stuff you did in high school really matters in the real world, but I don't think anyone really says, "oh boy, I was homecoming king so I guess I'll be a top dog one day."

I'm pretty sure all the pep rallies, homecoming stuff, high school events you participated in, matters in that moment. High school was about making friends and just having a blast before the real world. This guy is STILL a douchbag for making a video like this. Looks to me like he didn't follow his own video.

  • I love this video. I really do. :)

I'm in college, high school for me was tough, I had a little group of good friends and I still see most of them. Romance was deception incarnate and they always had a boyfriend, I don't see them anymore and I'm glad I don't. I'm doing okay, could always be better but I'm just starting out. I WILL be good, it's just a matter of time folks. The same goes for all of you, I'm cheering you all on, let's roll people, we're just getting started!

  • is been great for me

  • Comment removed

  • So true!

  • I love this. :D It's so true! All of the people that are the popular kids, the stuck up girls, etc. are all at the top of their game in high school. They're too busy being douchebags that they will all have an awful life in the future. Yay for satisfaction! :D

  • You know, I find this very uplifting.

The message isn't literally that ALL straight men are going on to achieve nothing and ALL gays will be automatically better than them. Yes that's openly said, but 1) it's a joke, and 2) that's not the overall message.

This is for those who make fun of gays, and think that being at the top in high school makes them so much better than everyone.

Basically; Dear a-holes- if you care that much about your high-school stature, it will only get worse for you.

  • that raises my self esteem because i'm the weird little artist girl in my school, and i'm treated like some 3rd grader or just ignored by the Paris Hiltons of the school.

  • Good thing I'm not white :D

  • this is why i purposly destoy my own self esteam

  • my take on this video is that it makes suicidal non-gays feel worse. especially in an economy where there is so much job loss. just because you are creative does not mean you will succeed. you have to take what you can get as far as jobs go and a lot of people are ending up here, gay and straight. not all straight guys are bastards, and not all gay guys are saints. WHOEVER you are, go out there and succeed at life before it's too fucking late to go back.

  • um i was fixing to dog on you because of the title but he is right for all the douche bags that are straight it gets worse and your gonna beat us up but hey were little gay men and lesbian women we'll fucking punch you and shoot you with our rainbow lazers and unicorn swords

  • wait... so only gay people can do great things?? and after high school all the strait males just start failing at life? Thanks for clearin that up for me.

  • @WiseRaconteur It's just a bit of a joke mate, calm down.

  • @judgementalfish2 I know i was just kidding

  • What does being gay have to do with being creative?

  • I'm a young, straight, white male and I'm suddenly dreading the rest of my life. Thanks.

  • What the fuck is wrong with you??? Do you think you're funny or something?? Because you're not. I hate people like you! Who sit there and make fun of a program that is SAVING LIVES!!! Your stupid ass little 'parody' makes me sick!!! Do you think it's funny that people die every day from being bullied about their sexuality?? Hmm?? I hate you. I hate this video. And for all I care, you can go jump off a cliff for making fun of the program that gives people hope!

  • @lilmissthing17 You're retarded...I'm gay. I found this video HILARIOUS. People make fun of a lots of controversial topics, get OVER IT! That's life. Get. Over. Yourself.

    K, fanks...bye! ^-^

  • @lilmissthing17 Nice case of hearing what you think you are AND NOT what the person is ACTUALLY saying.

Are you mentally deficient or just simply SO reactionary that you can't be bothered to comprehend what someone is really saying?

HE'S RELAYING THE SAME MESSAGE - but, he's pointing up the flip-side. He's explaining how those bullies who think they've "got it goin' on", and therefore believe they can cast aspersions on others who aren't as "cool" will just end up losers.

    Get a clue.

  • @lilmissthing17 It's people like you that make activists look bad. You rage and cry on the internet thinking you're making some kind of fucking difference with your comments and you're "moral" standing. Just because you don't think its funny doesn't give you the right to tell us who do that we are stupid for it. Popular consensus would say that if YOU aren't gay, you have no say in gay affairs but that is an idea that is primitive and stupid. If you want to take a stand for equal rights do so.

  • @lilmissthing17 Lmao jesus christ

  • Am I the only one who thinks this "it gets better" campaign sucks? I don't know, maybe I'm just not insecure, but I'm getting sick of all of these people saying it gets better when it clearly doesn't. Life sucks, then you die. End of story.

  • Now I'm not sure about this.

Sure, a lot of gay people really blossom outside the pressures of conformity, but there will always be places for ruthless, manipulative, intimidating bullies in the halls of power.

  • @AnnieIzzaBeast My take on this video is that it actually reinforces the "It gets better" message.

  • yes gayness rox:D

  • you know....im going through a really really tough time....this kinda made me feel worse...it really does only get worse...

  • Uh im in middle school = epic win!

  • lol you could only make jv basketball.

  • im black wat happens to me

  • As a straight, white male I can assure you that we straight, white males don't need anyone standing up for us. Straight, white, intelligent males actually knew what the guy was saying and weren't offended. And if you were offended, *you* are the douchebag.

  • @DylanWis0r good to know im not the only one who gets it... thanks mate :)

  • @DylanWis0r Unfortunately the people this video is for are too dumb to understand it.

  • funny vid! although i will say i wish you had chosen different words in the beginning than "straight white males". you kinda clarify a little later that you're talking about douchebags, but the wording makes it sound like you're implying that all "straight white males" are "douchebags". while i'm sure this is a view many people support, i would say it's no more accurate than saying that all gay people are doomed to be unsuccessful.

  • @asimpledevice good to see someone standing up for straight white males.

  • @JHP717 Thats not what he said, he specifically stated he was directing the message at douchebags and then he said how the poor kids who have to bottle their talent but go far with it later succeed, not just gay kids.

  • This applies to the real world in General not just douche bags.

The 6 year community college students drinking their way through their early 20's, leaving with an AA in Business. The University girl, that switches majors 8x, starting with psychology and finishing in teaching $50K in debt later. That guy who joined the Army right out of HS, only to realized Infantry doesn't relate to civian Jobs.

The only truth is that those who got picked on HS can sue for discrimination as an Adult.

  • what about the popular gay guy?

  • I fully support and understand that the purpose of this video was to show that high school popularity means nothing in the majority of your lifetime and that it gets worse for bullies, but why generalize all "straight wight guys" as douche bags?

  • @zoesophia96 Probably because, as many have seen and history continues to support, it's straight white males who seem to believe they rule the world. Not that all straight white males are douchebags, just that a considerable amount of douchebags are straight white males.

  • His fate could've been avoided if he was a sassy gay guy.

  • This is the best video ever!

  • @MegaMeow13 That's right and the first thing when you click the "Show More" button below the video it says "ATTENTION BULLIES: Enjoy it while you can, because from here on out, it's all downhill" So he's really only addressing bullies.

  • Moral of the story: dont be an asshole(:

  • Sorry straight people, but he's right.

  • @nikoincroatia well what about bi people

  • @virginiathegreat91 lol, I'm bi

For bi people it stays the same

  • @nikoincroatia oh....

  • @nikoincroatia The way you worded that is just fucking retarded.

  • @ChairmanDrek757 I don't see it

  • Why is this campaign so black and white? Being straight doesn't make you a douchebag, and being gay doesn't make you creative or special. It just defines your sexual orientation. This campaign should be on a broader scale; it should focus on ANYONE being bullied. It also shouldn't just feed the "victims" with false hope. Sometimes, it doesn't get better.

  • @ChairmanDrek757 Everyone knows that gays aren't automatically creative/special. If you only watch the famous people's "it gets better" videos then it might seem like that's the message because the whole point is not to give general reassuring platitudes but to talk about your own experiences.

No one says straight people are automatically douchebags, this particular video is a parody and hence my previous comments are jokes as well.

Make your own campaign if you think one like that should exist.

  • @ChairmanDrek757 Exactly. they know that, and thats why they made this video aimed only towards the straight douche bags who bash on gays for being gay.. u know? cause obviously a gay isnt gonna bash on another gay for being gay that'd be some serious contradicting bullshit.

  • Um...can you put a 'who are hateful/bullies" tag on that? It turns a lot of people off when you insult them like that without specifying- especially if they are privileged. (See derailing for dummies dot com /#innocent on why you're kinda making their argument for them.)

Also, what about the girls? They're bullies, too.

  • There is no need to insult all of your straight audience.

  • @Commager88 He wasn't insulting all of the straight audience. He was specifically addressing the "douchebags" who make fun of other people and who are at the top of their game in high school and whose lives will decline there afterward because their skills are not useful in the real world.

  • I LOVE this. It's so true, the bullies rarely, if ever, get anywhere major in life. The kids who were bullied are typically the ones who shine <3

  • I still cant figure out what this dude is trying to explain to me. call me a stupid bitch, but Im not getting the point here...

  • @snipedheadshot This is a parody of the "It Get's Better" campain geared towards gay teens. Telling them that even though they are being bullied now it does get better. This is about the bullies, or douchbags, who did the bullying and how because they're douchebags they're life doesn't get bettter, it gets worse.

  • @EndlessVox It's not intended to be a parody. A parody would mean they don't intend to support "It Get's Better". In my opinion, this is an even stronger message to straight people saying "GET OVER YOURSELF!"

  • @MarcoAJuarez Not necessarily. There's also the affectionate parody, taking things apart to show how awesome it is. In this case how the douchebags who bullied gay teens in highschool are going to have a pathetic life because they are douchbags, thus adding more to the "It Get's Better" message. You, as a gay teen will thrive because you didn't have anything handed to you, the bullies who bullied you however will not thrive and their best years are permently behind them.

  • @snipedheadshot

Well, The bullies in school have the upper hand over the GLBT. Thing is after school, people just do not put up with bigotry. NO ONE likes a bully after high school. Thing is in the adult world, the ones who continue to act as bullies and bigots are seen as low lives. Bigots always lose. The South lost, Germany in WW2 lost, and basically in the real world, it is not the gays, but the bigots, who are stigmatized.

  • Well, i am a gay guy, and i do say "Would you like fries with that", but i also can usually make up to about 200 a night saying it LMAO So i'm good. :) I'm happy :D

  • lol, jokes are funny. it still gave a positive spin to the "it gets better" movement while still making fun of it. lolzzz

  • Dont take this the wrong way...... So all white hateful people in highschool will end up unsuccessful? IM pretty sure there are barely any very successful white gays?

  • wait i know it gets worse but the reason the way they make those ''it gets better'' videos is to be positive to gay people just imagine how many deaths would happen if gay people watch videos and say ''it gets worse''.

  • The difficulty I have with this, is IT gets better. You're no longer judged, you get to worry about just yourself and no one else. If you do hold on to your high school things as "monumental points in life" then you haven't moved on to find MORE in life. I'm 20 and love everything I've done since I was 19. And I continue to strive to love the new and old thins that I do. #havehope

  • .....lame...

  • I miss pep rallies with cheerleaders. When you get older there are no cheerleaders.

  • lol u mad bro?

  • From now on, I'm going to give everyone at a meeting a handshake. :)

  • Haha! Love it!

  • Ha! This was awesome. If you don't get the joke and see this video as what it is you're an idiot.

  • Thank you, sincerely, Mark Dellis. I would have never thought someone of heterosexuality would take a stand for people like me. There are straight guys who sympathize, but all they do is tolerate us, I think. And even though that means a lot, in reality, its effect is not much more than standing aside in silence.

So thank you. Your strange action carries a lot.

  • wait a second....heterosexual white males are "douchebags"?

  • @ekimusman2 I know, that's a sweeping generalization that's not helping the situation and he should have reconsidered that. He probably should have made it more clear that he was aiming at the popular jocks and whatnot who think that their popularity is everything, because it's true: you don't get an award for being good looking in high school, and you certainly don't get rewarded for making fun of people who are different from the preconceived idea of "normal." THOSE guys are douchebags.

  • gee, so true. So sad all these people who work so hard making themselves douches in high school, to be confronted when they get out with the fact that it is not an asset anymore, and never again will be, but that it's gonna pull them down forever on.

This video actually made me feel sympathy for the conformist kids for the first time.

  • This make me happy I'm a sassy black woman!!!!

  • What a rude video

  • This is true unless your are Charlie Sheen.

  • LGBT or hetero, we're all the same! Love is love!

  • As a straight white male out of high school...this is absolutely true.

Even if you weren't homecoming king or on the varsity team or even if you fucked around all high school and played Magic the Gathering every free period with your socially awkward friends. That was the best four years of your life. It only goes downhill.

  • He's talking to straight white males because THAT'S WHAT HE IS! And this isn't even a serious video! I know, kind of a hard concept for some of you to get but keep trying; you'll get it eventually

  • Pretty awesome spin. I was a band geek in high school, a computer/art/philosophy geek in college, and now I'm making AAA video games for a living in Southern California. The 'It Gets Better' mantra doesn't just apply to gays. It applies to all creative young people having to deal with lame-ass douchebags.

  • @kuhlka Oh gawd thank you for that. I'm a weird, creative, technology geek, and I was just sitting here like, "OH GAWD I'M NOT GAY! OH GAWD THAT MEANS IT'S GONNA GET WORSE?!?! WHYYYY????? *sobs*"

  • Why does it have to be straight white male youth? Why not just straight male youth? Cause in my book if you gay then your gay and if you straight then your straight. sexuality knows no race.

  • @Jetblue4you because it's usually the straight WHITE guys who give a crap about bullying everyone else. I'm sure there are straight guys of other colors that bully. But they aren't the norm

  • @Metteloid start with me

  • @Metteloid you totally missed the point, huh?

  • @Metteloid all i can say is: "WOW"

  • @Metteloid No, it's not just them. he's pretty much using it as an example, because nowadays that's one of the most common things kids are bullied for, and even if they're not gay, they may get called it. But he's pretty much saying how those kids with brains and creativity are more likely to succed than those who don't have those.

  • @Metteloid It's SUPPOSED to be a jab at all of the homophobes who are overly-concerned with masculinity and machismo...You missed the point, dude. Unless you ARE one of those guys -- and in that case, you won't be received well by the people who love TSCN.

  • hahaha that was the greatest

  • FEMALE VERSION PLEASE. "it get's better"?

  • dude this is great! :)

    love it man

  • shit...

  • lame

  • this is the height of comedy, mainly because everything he says is true!

  • LMAO

  • Who says all bullies are all athletes with no other talents? FAIL

  • "I'll tell you who has it the hardest: White Men. We make the unpopular, difficult decisions - the tough choices. We land on the moon and Normandy Beach and they resent us."-Jack Donaghy
