  • I'm here in 2012 :)

  • this is a classic song also heard in GTA Vice City for the PS2

  • i never who knew who sung this song....soooo glad i finally found it. You know this was a classic if a remember hearing it on the radio as a kid in the early 90s.

  • New Music Is Trash... Youtube Is The Station

  • This Video and Song is Iconic. It is stellar and exemplary of the type of music we grew up listening to in the 80's. I remember watching this on Video Music Box w/ Ralph McDaniels and assumed that the music and style would last forever. Never in my worst night did I think I would cringe listening to the radio (Then again, Portland, OR is a bad example. It seems New York and Atlanta aren't much better). It's frustrating and sad to see what popular music has become today .Time to take it back.

  • Used to play this on our Pirate Radio station back i 85 - Cool Tune!!

  • One Of The Best Bass Synth Ever !

  • @ricorob100 Shotgun in your mom's car? You mean the cops didn't arrest her for child endangerment and you weren't sent to therapy? That's right, that's when things made sense back then!

  • @WhatBurnsMyBacon Oh Heck no half the time we didn't even have to have a seatbelt on, If she slammed on the brakes she'd just throw her right arm across my chest lol Love my mama.

  • those were some fuck up hair styles back in the 80's

  • Nice to know: Rene n Angela originally tried to sell this song to other artists, however by lack of interest it didn't get sold at which point they produced and released it themselves. The rest is history and probably one of the most iconic 80's track. Enjoy my friends, enjoy...

  • @DJGahann shit happens for a reason....

  • 0:52 For the last time people, the line is "Flash, we meet" not "Flash me meat". LOL!

  • love this one

  • Pop is trying to bring back classic styles but nothing like this. There are tons of cover bands for this great soul music but we need to get rid of the crap and bring back this type of music.

  • This song is ridiculously good! Never heard it before but I remember Foxy Brown sampled it in one of her songs.

  • this is a hot song dam!!! i miss angela winbush she is so talented!!!!!

  • GTA...sure. I had Maxells taping this stuff. Only game consoles we had were Atari, original NES and arcade machines. Arcades were very neat still,if only on the way out.

  • @steadfastcoward hehe, yes so you'd be equally amused at the "I know this from GTA" comments ;-) I started out on a Magnavox Odessey 200, followed by Atari, 'nuff said.

  • 17 people must have been born 12 years ago or some shit. They need to clean their damn ears out...oh yeah, and 01:52 makes me wish I could play the drums...:(

  • sample for foxy brown's - "ill be", feat. jay-z ....

  • NYC Alwayz

  • I love this song. Where is Rene these days? Angela is so very talented....just like Miki Howard.

  • It was a game in the band room of figure it out if you can. We would start with the chords. He would not let the melody instruments play until about 10 to 15 min. We are dying to know about now. He would kick you out of the room if you played it before he ask. If we could not figure it out, then came the melody instruments. It was on then. When he call everyone to play, we blew the room up then. EWF, Stevie Wonder, M Jackson, Rick James, LTD, SOS band, etc.

Yea I miss it a lot.

  • In my high school and HBCU band member days it was fun talking to the competition to find out what new song you were going to play on the field after hearing it on the radio. During the season when a set of new songs came out, the fans would bug you to death asking what are you going to play? The band director kept it going. We use to get new music that was untitled. We found out as we played and then high-5 each when we figured it out. Damn, music was fun to experience back in the day.

  • Its really great to see the comments on this video pertaining to the use of the vice city soundtrack, it was one of the most amazing parts of that game, and a real scene setter, like MIDNIGHT1DEMO said, theres nothing better than this tune and an infernus on ocean beach :) Rockstar Games have done a credit to dying artists, and I love every track on the Soundtrack to Vice City, the BEST soundtrack to a game, ever. without question.

  • i was born 1985 and the 80s will not go away wile im on this planet...if anyone tells me the 80s is dead, i will actually hit them in the face, not just a slap but a full on shoot to kill blow lol.

  • @militaryminded85 yea fuck 90s!

  • @militaryminded85 Well said, but they wouldn't feel a thing , cos they're already soulless!!!

  • The times ain't dead people. I going out right now to blaze this in the whip with the windows down. It's stiil the tune to blaze in the sunshine if your playing GTA or not.

Try it and see. Big tuuune!

These nowadays so called r&b singers could learn something from these beats.

  • just out standing great track 80s lives on !!!!!!!!!!!!

  • to my babygirl AnG this ol stuff still knocks

  • r&b top shelf! the sound tracks for the 80's growing up in SF Bay Area. lust, love, disco, dancing! dancing! dancing! clubbing and loving and 20 something w/ a future filled w/ hope and promise of a better day. well, it's NOT a better day. 90% of my people are dead and the music today sucks - go ahead and say it. 'at least' I grew up in the Bay Area and being in a 'bi-racial' marriage wasn't completely forbidden. granted, this affair was homosexual.

  • @aluddite1 i have much respect for you!

  • im 29 and i am utterly ashamed of my musical generation. i know about 99% of the crap that hip hop puts out today is sampled from the 70s and 80s but i didnt know this song was. Jay Z using it for his song with Foxxy Brown. pathetic. hip hop nowadays cant even be creative they have to use sampling. this is real music. pure and creative

  • @BottomOfThaBay Wow very well put!

  • hipsters get the bozak

  • You are tuned in to Fever 105 with Oliver "Ladykiller" Biscuit.

    Vice City Forever!!!

  • I wish Rockstar would release the next GTA Instalment soon, and set in vice city in the 80s again, as a different storyline from the original Vice city.

  • THIS BEAT IS STRAIGHT FIRE. ESPECIALLY CRUISING ON GTA. I BE CRUISING WITH THIS SONG BLASTIN THROUGH MY SPEAKERS...

  • If this music does'nt touch your soul you had better check your pulse!!!!!

  • So true midnight1...nothing like listening to the old school after u jacked someone's hot ride on GTA and cruising the streets on a sunny day. Todays artists are like school on Sundays...NO CLASS!

  • So true midnight1...nothing like listening to the old school after u jacked someone's hot ride on GTA and cruising the streets on a sunny day. Todays artists are like school on Sundays...NO CLASS!

  • real gangster music

  • MORTEL , AMAZING THANKX 4 THE SONG KISS PEACE AND GET WILDE

  • This song has a great flow to it. I wish music was still like this :(

  • One of the best beats i ever heard!!

  • hahaha i LOVE this song!!!

  • .....if there music is destroyed..!!!!

  • Seriously, I cant appreciate anything remotely "new" anymore...even from 1995 onwards..and that was my decade as well......All fucking rip-offs....Im sick of hearing old classics being ripped-off in shit rap songs, or poor remade "r&b" versions....These artists and record companies need to start refusing rights for these no-talented, young idiots to use their material...Because there's no point of us bitching at these songs being remade if the people who made them dont even care.....

  • @toothfairy30 The thing with artists back in the days : they were musicians, composers as well as vocalist. It wa not enought to have good looks or nice voice to make it - you had to be muliti-talented and hence the better music, better lyrics and better music production . Gone are thise days .

  • @bjcapital Well, of course I agree with you, but it still doesnt solve the problem of the bullshit that's being spewed out today...

  • This is the nuts, love it

  • Straight Funky Soul. Tune!!!
