Bump firing is pretty stupid. One day you will be at a range and some stupid hunter sportsmen will call the police and tell them you have a machine gun. Once it's sent to the BATF you might get it back in a year or maybe if they can mess with it enough they might be able to get it to fire a double tap and woops now you're in prison.

Bump firing is perfectly legal since each shot takes 1 pull of the trigger. It just so happens the rubber band is automatically resetting the trigger. As far as the ATF is concerned bump firing a semi-auto is not the same as a select fire/full auto weapon.

If you are not used to bumpfiring in this manor then yes it will help. When you practice enough you will not need anything. Play this video again, pause the video at 42 seconds then enlarge it full screen. Look closely at the magwell and my trigger finger. The clip I used for this video I was not using any type of assistant devices.
