As a perfectionist also, it seems so strange to think that part of my growing process is allowing myself to accept imperfection. I'm slowly getting to the point where I am finally able to not only accept flaws but to embrace them. There are many times when, in my opinion, the most interesting things are the things someone "cut out" because, if they left them in, it wouldn't be "perfect". Really great video!
One movie that you were in, "The World's Fastest Indian," was a great movie, and it was about a man of limited means who tried to perfect his motorcycle to break the motorcycle speed record and succeeded. Forging his own pistons and suffering burns to his leg was extreme. Did he really burn his leg? In real life, Burt Munro broke the record multiple times and apparently never stopped improving his bike. It's an uplifting story about what can be achieved with dedication and determination.
Some outcomes are the result of trial and error or an iterative process, like composing a new song or finding a new cancer drug. Making mistakes or something different from the final outcome is sometimes inevitable. Perfectionism can sometimes be dangerous. A high school teacher once told me that a student who was a straight A student committed suicide after he got the first B grade in his life. Other people think that they have a perfect understanding of God and use that to justify violence.
