On Friday me and my friends was in the music hall and one of them kept slapping, elbowing and hitting the fire alarm to make us laugh but he punched it so hard it went of. He face was a happy one to a sad one. I jumped, my other friend was laughing and the other one screamed like a girl so we all had to go to the playground and the hole school was there that was the most funniest day ever.

In massachusetts schools, all fire drills are conducted by the Fire Department, and the Firemarshal sets it off. I assume in that cast the Principal/Headmaster has no control over when the Fire Drills are scheduled. I live in brookline, ma and went to both Pierce School, and Brookline High School.
@MyExtreeme He didn't actually pull the alarm he hit the fire drill button. A lt of panels have a button that will set off the horns or speakers whichever the case may be but it bypasses the elevator cut off, HVAC cutoff, and the dialer which calls the FD.
It's obvious that this is CONTROLLED and that the student obviously had previous consent to do the drill... I think it's good that this principle allows her students to be proactive learners.

Remember the best thing to do during a fire is panic. Any good scientist will tell you humans expel carbon dioxide when breathing. They will also tell you that fire needs oxygen to keep burning. Thus, while panicking you will use up all the oxygen, depriving the fire of it's nutrients to burn.

There was a fire door right near us and we nearly went the long way round the school to get out we were that paniced and shocked when it went off. @GigaBowser86 I understand that. Alot has to do I think with our ears being alot more sensitive when we are in grade school. I doubt your alarm in your jr high school is much quieter, I think the fire department requires them to sound at a certain level for safety reasons.

@ScottCharlotte Did you actually show people and the school itself? A lot of the times the fire alarm technicians will film the floor or turn the camera so that people's faces can't be seen.

Remember the best thing to do during a fire is panic. Any good scientist will tell you humans expel carbon dioxide when breathing. They will also tell you that fire needs oxygen to keep burning. Thus, while panicking you will use up all the oxygen, depriving the fire of it's nutrients to burn.

I hate fire drills. Mine at my elementary school was like a fucking air raid siren because it was that loud. My Junior High one sound a lot quieter.

@GigaBowser86 LOL our fire drill sucks, it makes people panic, and go the long way round / don't know how to get out / etc. Like what happened to us. There was a fire door right near us and we nearly went the long way round the school to get out we were that paniced and shocked when it went off. We know when our school is going to have drills, but this one wasn't a drill....

@GigaBowser86 I understand that. Alot has to do I think with our ears being alot more sensitive when we are in grade school. I doubt your alarm in your jr high school is much quieter, I think the fire department requires them to sound at a certain level for safety reasons.

@GigaBowser86 I nearly died of fright when the fire alarm went off at midnight, I was absolutely terified I did not know what to think, I actualy though someone was going to kill me the sound was like something out a horro film. For me they only stress me out and piss me off. there should only ever be 1 every 10 years. I HATE them so much.
