I'd like to show these clips to my class. They keep getting blocked by Freemantle. I own the discs...the entire series, but my class is online and I want to embed these short clips into moodle. I can do that but they keep getting blocked. Any ideas?

@egrog225 Maybe find another website besides YouTube. There are other sites that are similar to YouTube that allow uploading of vids, and I don't think they are nearly as strict about copyright.

not entirely true. HRE was more than just germany calling themselves like that. it was legacy of charlemagne, his domain passed to 3 sons, then one of the parts became 'new' HRE ((other parts were 'france' and 'lotharingen'), however HRE was not 'germany', it was much much larger, including n italy, low countries, switzerland, austria, northern balkan states, bohemia. at times hungarian king was HRE, so throw in hungary (large then). germany didn't exist and was divided (saxons, austrians etc)

uhhh barbarians is a Greek word, the Germanic tribes certainly never referred to themselves as such. And BelmondoAlvaro has it right about the HRE. It was essentially a loose collection of minor kingdoms. Everybody knows the Holy Roman Empire was neither holy, Roman nor an empire anyway, despite the illustrious imagery created by it's lofty title.

it is why when the allies entered germany only few germans fought ,the SS fanatics,the rest of the german army or surrendered,or gone fight the ones who really were its enemies, the soviets,Hitler was not trusted not even by his own generals,who began diplomatic talks with the allies, when germany was invaded
