Canada has proven times and times again that it was indeed the top country in the world, not because we have the best players but because winning has become and mentality, a tradition.

Let face a few facts... Canada is good at hockey and thats about it... lol I am canadian and I take pride in our team. US has overall better baseball, basketball, football players with a few exceptions (rick nash, justin morneau) The top US born hockey player (top scorer) is mike midano from the stars, we have constantly put out talent of the likes of Gretzky, Yzerman, Lemieux, Crosby, Broduer, and Roy.
Looking at the difference in population it's understandable that we have less proffesional athletes. Remember that Canada has a smaller population than California. We probably have a higher ratio of good athletes to population than the U.S.

A lot of European players are really good at hockey, I'll give you that. You name me players like Ovechkin, Malkin, Lidstrom, Datsyuk, Zetterberg, Hossa, Kovalchuk and so on. Just remember that a few players doesn't make a country the best in the world, it's the chemistry between them and the will to win. Canada has proven times and times again that it was indeed the top country in the world, not because we have the best players but because winning has become and mentality, a tradition.

the rangers in the beginning of the season are the always the best team in the league since they get in real good shape but than they get tired and once january hits they start fuckin up, and the reason why the rangers only lose to teams by 1 point and win or win in the shootout is because of lundqvist, the rangers have one of the worse defense in the league, the canucks on the other hand got great players that team is able to compete with the red wings, but w/e fuck the rangers

Luongo > any European goalie. His stats speak for themselves. Lundqvist is good, yes, not the best though. Brodeur is also better than him. Rangers looked good early because they had so many games and lunqvist was playing well, then when everyone catches up in the Games Played, Rangers fall in the standings.

I dont know if lundqvist is the best goalie though. I mean he is an elite yes but look at his team and the rangers arent even that big of a threat. While Luongo was on a sub par team and still had them in contetion for their division battleing with Calagary. If Luongo can stay healthy he is the better goalie....If being the magic word.

Let face a few facts... Canada is good at hockey and thats about it... lol I am canadian and I take pride in our team. US has overall better baseball, basketball, football players with a few exceptions (rick nash, justin morneau) The top US born hockey player (top scorer) is mike midano from the stars, we have constantly put out talent of the likes of Gretzky, Yzerman, Lemieux, Crosby, Broduer, and Roy.

Looking at the difference in population it's understandable that we have less proffesional athletes. Remember that Canada has a smaller population than California. We probably have a higher ratio of good athletes to population than the U.S.
