Now that I think about it, I wonder what people in 1991 would have say to you if you told them that Schwarzenneger will become Governor of California.
This was a fun game... one of the first games I played you could put money in to keep playing... this and Operation Thunderbolt. Really in some ways this was an OT knockoff?
The only movie that wasn't up to par was Terminator Salvation. I actually liked T3. I thought this game was awesome back when it came out in the arcades, I also loved the Sega Genesis version.
Arguably they should have stopped at T2, but then they wouldn't have the screwed-up world that produced the father of John Connor, and of course Money Talks.
Great game. I played this one plenty of times at arcades and I agree about the last two movies. While I enjoyed the third movie for what it was (though nowhere near the pedigree of the first two), I always thought if they did one set in the future, that it would the future we've seen in the first two with the laser-type weapons and stuff. The fourth one would have been way better if they did that and got rid of Christian Bale. He had no business being in the movie.
@catbarian yeah were they are older at the park and then end on a night shot of a road. basically there is no fate. but t3 and t4 both say there is fate. The machines will have a war no matter what you do,
@catbarian are you referring to the alternate ending on the DVD? That was when it ended on th road with VO? Sometimes they shoot multiple endings and pick the best one. As a director.editor.producer I can attest to that.
Ghet dahwn... naow! :) I got down on the arcade back in the day. Good game. I do enjoy light gun games and this was an ok/good one. Good vid Mr. Biff :)
I actully thought T3 was pretty good aside from special effects overkill. It explored the personality of John Connor as a person instead of as a savior and showed how similar he was to his mom. I haven't seen T4 yet though I probably will at some point.
T1 ad T2: Cool. There is no fate but what you make it. The future is unwritten. That's the Cameron way. To bad the studios messed all of that up in T3 and T4.

i use to manage an arcade in the 90's and this machine would constantly break down! one thing after another.
as far as the gameplay. it was a tough machine to beat, around 4-10 dollars worth of tokens.
neglectoid 1 year ago
@neglectoid Did it break down more than Dragon's Lair?

Never saw this arcade game, but I do have to say that the pinball machine based on Terminator 2 was one of the best of all time.

My favorite movie turns into a pretty good, if not mindless, arcade game :)
