Scene at 03:02 -does being in charge in the army always means shouting ,raising voice and arguing with subordinantes.I'm asking because I like to be nice for all people because I believe if youre nice for others ,others are nice for you .
@garden2011city It means at least some of the time you will have to - many battles have been lost by soldiers deciding to do their own thing rather than obeying orders.
lol ok i will leave you to youre mothers home made mashed potatoes :P
but just dont say some country from eastern europe, cause it sounds youre talking about gypsies, hobos and ex-communistso_O thats the type of scum were trying to get rid of in Lithuania...anyways..calm down child..calm down..
@HenryvKeiper It's historical fact, man. Polish king send Lithuanian and Tatar light cavalry before Polish knights. Though we're not sure if Teutonics really dig traps, but some sources contains such info.
U got me there, i said Islam cause the teutonic knights fought with great bravery against Islam in the crusades, so i taught its one of those films. but tnkx for that piece of info :)
Vytautas was the best warchief, he made Germans think that lithuanians are running, after some time they came back and with Jogaila crushed them, those two were wery smart, but Sienkiewicz was so dumb, that he wrote: "..Lintuhanians were running back to LDK.."
This a fantastic film. It is based on the novel by Nobel prize winner Henryk Sienkiewicz's "Krzyzacy" (Knights Of The Black Cross). Known in Polish as the Battle of Grunwald, in Lithuanian as Zalgiris and in German as the Battle of Tannenberg. The year was 1410. The forces of Poland-Lithuania defeated the German Teutonic Knights.

Gypsies, tramps and thieves, we heard it from the people of the town...

Yes. Lithuania and Poland is a union 1385-1574.

The man in black is indeed Władysław II Jagiełło - king of Poland and supreme commander of the allied force, not Vytautas.
The movie says so, and it is historically accurate too ;-)
