i loved this program. im 37 now and can remember it like it was yesterday now i.ve seen it again. i remember the opening tune giving me spooky chills lol
Speaking of nostalgia, does anyone remember a TV show from 1982 called "Maggie"? It was on BBC 1 around lunchtime and followed the misadventures of a Scottish teenage girl. I can't find a trace of it on YouTube. I remember it was quite sombre in tone and the ending was a bit downbeat, her boyfriend dumps her and catches a train to somewhere.
oh my god... Matthew's Dad is Kidder from One Summer... ahhh one nostalgia trip leads to another.. who remembers One Summer? Billy and Icky running away from Liverpool to Wales??
yep, when the villains turned up then the big silver ball spat thousands of little ones out to attack . you remeber a russian/polish one about a kid who builds a laser and it talks to him.
Marble?, lol! That was "The Glitterball", a 1977 Childrens Film Foundation movie about a little silver ball-shaped alien that gets stranded on Earth after crashing in a slightly larger silver ball-shaped spaceship. Plot very similar to ET but came 5 years earlier. I still have it on video from the BBC 1 Christmas Day 1983 screening.
Imagine watching this stoned!! talk about de ja vu!!!

Remember them filming for this in East Horsley, Surrey, that would have been for the house they used in the series.

Every one should read all the John Wyndham books. They were all good. No American writer of the same ilk came close to him in his Hayday.
