Also, how many times has America tried to help Haiti over the last 100 years with cash injections and building schools,bridges n powerplants for the place to then fall back into a corrupt slum as soon as you leave again...

How about you deal with the mess you caused in Iraq before dealing with an act of nature?...

Thank you for wanting to help out! Check out the Center for International Disaster Information web site for reasons that cash donations work best. Some agencies may be able to ship your donations for you - especially later on - but the Red Cross will try to purchase supplies as close to Haiti as possible to save on shipping and to help support the local economy in Haiti when possible. Talk to your local chapter (you can find them using zip code lookup on our web site) about holding a fundraiser.
