This video is speculative rubbish, you'd be better off gargling your toilet bowl water than watching this blatant hypothetical nonsense. Ironically the rendezvous with Temple 1 exposes the fallacy unequivocally.
Adam and Even came from a comet. Then they had extremely alot of sex and gave birth to Jesus and Muhammed. As growing up Muhammed was jelous on his brother and decided to leave the family at age 5. True story.
I want a base on the moon 20 years ago and the landing on mars ten years ago. It makes me sad that neither has occured and is unlikely anytime soon. ARGH!!!!!!!!
Awesome for the good info it presents, thumbs down on the speculation (i.e. the dinosaurs checked out because of an asteroid, comets 'almost certainly' brought the building blocks of life to earth, etc....). I wish folk would treat their theories as theories and not fact.
From my understanding, comets are largely made up of ice and loosely bound particles. In contrast, meteors are made up of heavier elements. So, i would rather the earth be hit by a comet than an asteriod. Because, the comet would most likely explode in the upper atomsphere and not impact on the earth causing mass ejection of material into the atomsphere. Just my 2 cents worth.
WTF guys, in science you have facts/proof and theories.
Theories are ideas that explain how something works etc
Then there are "rules/laws".. theories that have been proven correct. (newtons laws for example)
THE BIG BANG IS A THEORY! It explains why things happen they way they do,but it hasnt been proven yet, it might never be.
Scientists might discover something new that isnt explained by big band theory,so they 'll have to think of another theory that connects all the shit together.
but anyway, no, the big bang doesn't explain why things happen the way they do, that's physics.
Big bang only describes a POSSIBLE theory for HOW the universe was FORMED, not how it WORKS. That's the field of physics/theoretical physics.
And scientists are trying to find an alternative to the BBT. And yes, I assume by when you say "another theory that connects all the shit together", you mean the TOE.
You know what I just thought of? What if everything we know about the universe isn't really what actually happened and we are just completely wrong about everything?
Ahem, how did the big bang happen if there was nothing? If time, space, matter, energy, symmetry, proportion and the ability to perceive and respond to such elements of existence came from nothing, then what is the originator of nothing?
@Kracg999 I personally can't bye the idea of a center in single universe from a big bang, and nothing forever outside it. I think the universe has no center, beginning or end, and our universe as we ever can see is just a tiny part of something to big for us to understand. I believe there are universes and big bang's all over the place, but we can't see anything so far away and outside our realm.
@FlUdDeStRoYeR94 well it wasn't really nothing. everything in the universe was in a dense point.when the big bang happened it was an expansion of space and time. well according to scientists. that's the best answer science has brought so far, care to make any other explanations?
@Auslander999 Hydrogen that is the most abundant gas or atom in the universe coalesced with Oxygen. And Oxygen came from dying stars beforehand.
But then again no one can answer you the ULTIMATE origin of it because that would also answer the origin of the universe and we are just nowhere near to have definitive proof of its origin.
Yes, to discover and understand is one of our goals. But, how can we reach mars without even reaching the moon? We must endeavor to reach the moon so we can surpass our previous feats. In a sense we must do BETTER than reaching the moon.
The only way we can discover and learn more is to do better than what we did before. We will discover, sure, but what makes us go further is wanting to discover more, only by doing better.
Clearly, you haven't seen the grand picture of astronomy... =/
@JetsuSeal, why not send intelligent robots to mars to make a home for us first, then build ships to come and get us? It seems harder at first, but I doubt it actually is. The hassle of sending people there is simply enormous and most of what you're sending isn't even people but their fuel. A one way mission for robots is at least ten times cheaper. And the technology we need to develop sophisticated dextrous and intelligent robots is also useful right here on earth. We're short on priests.
@ananiasacts Yeah, if we could do that, we would :P There are so many variables to take in account for what to do or what could happen, sometimes, you just need the good old human workmanship lol. Also, this is a way cooler way to do it.
@augatron22 there is nothing speacil about 2012. the world is not going to end on that day, it is just a date made up by someone who made a movie its not really going to happen on that day.
@augatron22 I dont believe anything will happen that will be cataclysmic in "that" year but I do believe that more and more Volcano's will start to become active. Too much pressure on the core.
IMO: Although we're doom either way because as long as the sky is blue there will always be someone who dares to stupefy other human beings with ridiculous ideologies.
@JetsuSeal "Side note: The world current state is depressive, but only those to can acknowledge and strive for better instead of hiding behind fairy tales" - Nope, absolute bollocks. This strive for better and blah blah, sounds nice but in reality it doesn't work like that. Nearly every new discovery attributable to man has not come from a desire for better, it comes from the desire to understand and discover or to look. It will be that seeds man on other planets, ignoring the idiots back home.
@TheSpankymonkey Lol, funny, nor do you. I or anyone can easily kill you and your existence would be forgetten in a matter of years at most... You'll only be remembered by your mommy and daddy.
