I just noticed something. In Star Wars IV Obi Wan gives luke a light saber and says it was his father. Im assuming since they here show us Obi Wan picking it up (red colour) after defeating Anakin, thats the lightsaber. However the saber in episode IV is green, while this one is red...

In this fight it's blue still. And in Episode IV, it's actually blue. He doesn't get a green one until Episode VI, at which point he had lost the original.

I think Sidious set it up, because he keeps smirking before Anakin even gets there. Also, he kciks Yoda's ass later on and I think Yoda is a lot better than Mace at saber fighting.

Actually, Mace is better than Yoda at saber fighting but Yoda is FAR better at using the force than Mace. So it was still probably a set up.

To say that Mace is a greater swordsman than Yoda is stretching it a bit I think. Mace simply specialized in swordsmanship, not necessarily better than Yoda. Maybe we just need a Mace Vs Yoda fight to settle the dilemma, but they're both a bit dead for that.

I believe in the book it states that Sidious is toying with Mace. Also in the extras for Revenge of the Sith, the actor which plays Sidious stated that his character was about a thousand times faster than any other Jedi.

He wasn't expecting vader to do what he did, as a sith apprentice vader is suppose to take betrayal in stride. And episode 6 is 23 years after episode 3, so sidious would have been febbler. He relys on his sith lighting if any one gets past his bodyguards and vader not his fighting skills. And revenge of sith novel does mention how tired he feels.
