Greatest opening in rock history! Unbelieveable! I was back inhigh school when I heard the first notes from a neighbours house. Although not particularly friendly with them, I made it a point to find out the name of the song. Their son and I are best mates now thanks to this song :)

This has been my favorite Maiden album since its release in '86 and purchased it the first week it came out with money earned from mowing a neighbors lawn.

It's a damn shame Maiden has yet to release an official video of footage collected from this tour....so super props to you my friend for posting this!

It's such a shame they didn't resurrect this song on the somewhere back in time tour. Bruce's voice appeared pretty wrecked for the most part of the 86/87 tour. He could sing this now no problems

I had never heard of Iron Maiden until a reference to them in the first Bill and Ted movie where they are about to be put in the Iron Maiden and they go "excellent!" I figured it was some band reference so I asked a friend if he had heard of Iron Maiden and he actually had the Somewhere In Time album. It was love at first sound!:)

@edwardgreat yeah right, listen to "Time is always on my side" he doesn't hit half the notes. Just like comparing Aces High from Live After Death and Flight 666. He has learned how to take better care of his voice. For me his voice was never better than on The Beast on the Road tour, but it got pretty rattled in the 80's through excessive touring. He has a better handle on pitch now, and while he may have lost some power, I prefer his tone now.

bruces voice was really strained on this tour, the album had some very demanding vocals but i think he was just having an off season after he left the studio for the album (because in studio he was INCREDIBLE).

i hope the play the songs again sometime too (deja vu, loneliness, alexander, this) because bruces voice now is better than it was on this tour. Strange that on the following tour to this one his voice is incredible again, same for the tour beforehand
