There's silly. I like silly but this version is moronic. I haven't watched it from the beginning as somehow I got in the middle but I've never seen such a horrible P and P. I wish whoever produced this would have put the money toward my student loans. It would have made more sense. Still, it's a P and P version and I can't help but look at it all. How do they explain the sisters having different accents? I'd bet the person who sold this has sold a few Brookland bridges to nutters.

The fact that they pushed both characterse of Lady Darcy and Caroline Bingley into one person is awful and takes away from two important crucial characters in the entire story. This is so bad .... of an .... adaptation.

I LOVE this movie. I saw it when it first came out on cable years back. I don't understand why it's never on cable anymore. What a waste. This movie is destined to be a cult classic. So oddly entertaining and so many cinematic genius moments that few will be privy to.

That's because they made two versions. The original was actually catered towards Mormons. This is the second version they made without the Mormon references, hoping that it would be more mainstream. The Mormon version is a bit funnier but only if you understand the religion enough to get the jokes.

He's totally got the character wrong, mr darcy (not at this stage admittedly) but showed so much more struggle against elizabeth, he did want to like her.

and at this stage they're both quiet and shy because niether knows what the other one is thinking.

i suppose this is more modern but yer, thats why i think this is a terrible performance.
