I used the Kumho KW17's in 225/45/17. They were the only decent winter tire I could find that also had a high speed rating! They were still squishy compared to my summer tires, but still much more responsive than say blizzaks. I got a little over 3 winter seasons out of em. Heighly recomend them!

antitarmac... As for the DCCD it was left on auto, no reason to set it biased to the rear in the snow. THATS the beauty of AWD ; ), and the beauty of Subaru's DCCD in the STi's, it does a pretty good job on its own! And 4" of fluff or 4" of hard pack (it was 7" of snow to be exact), its still nothing but snow, I don't see any concrete from the road surface showing do you?!?!

Vteclude22 is a friend of mine who uploaded this video for me. The car is an '04 STi, w/ spoiler and sideskirts from a WRX, and roughly 9K in mods. Someone asked about the exhaust, TurboXS RFL-Ti Turbo-back. As for how fast I was going, pretty fast for my first try, which this was. You can hear me bounce of the limiter a couple times, and I'm in 3rd gear. Go drive an STi and bounce of the rev limiter in 3rd gear, you'll be going a lil faster than 45-55mph ; ).

pretty easy to control w dccd set to rear bias. try 45-55mph, that wasn't 80. here I was expecting to see you go through a snow drift, not 4" of fluff. fun to play, though, isn't it. get it out of town and try some real corners for better practice. be sure to have a spotter, though so you don't take out a family in their minivan.

i have a 2003 sti and i think it is an sti, stis have larger intercooler scoops on the bonnet, and a wrx or prodrive spoiler will be better for drifting. cant really get a good enuf look to see tho, but dose it matter??.... nice drift
