I always saw Hojo as the primary villain of FF7. The addition of Dirge of Cerberus further cemented that idea and I find it interesting that there aren't any debates of Hojo vs Sephiroth. Though I was quite pleased that there was a momentary Vincent Valentine vs Cloud due to the newly displayed abilities of Vincent in both Advent Children and Dirge of Cerberus.
@GigaBahamut If they ever do a remake of this game, they'll have hell to pay for.
Fans have been begging for years for proper and respectful remakes of the older classics. FF4 has recently received a respectful remake on the PSP and a slightly less graceful 3D entry on the DS.
And it's hard to argue that they can't do it when looking at Romancing Saga's remake for PS2 in a full cell shaded stylized 3D form despite the large difference in popularity and renown between FF and Romancing Saga.
So I downloaded the remake v2-4, and everytime I get to the third Hojo, the game just sits. I can still pause the game, but I can't attack. Anyone have any ideas? The game was flawless until now.
well i got past it but i use cid vincent and duh cloud. they were about level. vincent50 cid 49 cloud 48 cloud would be the highest but sence you loose him for a part of the game he became lower
Being the level up whore that I am, I was in the low 90s when I got to Hojo. I used Cloud, Vincent, and Red XIII against him and whooped his tail within at least three minutes. I like your method of this fight though. Good job! ^_^
Cool, I'm uploading a video of all three battles soon. I used Ultima and Quadra Magic and then Mimed with Barret and the battles took about 5 minutes in all.

Same here. But I've excessively leveled up by creeping in Ancient Forest (I've beat Ultima, and got Ultima Weapon). I was at level 71 when I fought Hojo using Cloud-Barret-Tifa (default party, all uses strongest weapons, limit gauge full). 1st form, deathblow 2x. 2nd form, use catastrophe and attack the body. 3rd form, OMNISLASH and OHKO!
@huntinater6k Lol what's your point? I play to have fun, I don't give a shit how skilled I am. Obviously I'm leveling right somehow if I'm able to beat the game.

hojos 3rd form was a pain in the ass when i played (psp ver) his combo would usualy put my team to sleep and he just fucked me up from there

go in the submarine and go to the port at Golden Saucer.
When you get to the GS port, submerge, turn around, and there should be a plane on the sea bed.
Touch it and you should go in, though just be warned, the monsters in there will kick your ass!
Any character below a 50 you'll have to be extra careful with...
