  • I really liked it!

  • @CristinaSims99 Thanks :D

  • i hate it when people say that "that looks gross" as long as it tastes good it doesn't matter. It doesn't have to look purfect. I would try that. You, SimpleCookingChannel, are a great cook. You always make me hungry :)

  • @swissdark7 Thanks :D

  • i came here from watching friends the clip were rachel makes a ''traditional'' english trifle!!!

  • @raynicole3 LOL :D

  • looks horrible but sounds awesome

  • @ElectricGuitarLuver It tastes ever better :D

  • yum looks good ????????? :(

  • @ShowyMallard25 It is :D

  • dude you are bad at failing cooking get it:)

  • @davinrocksinmanyways lol i do :D

  • It looks gross. I think jello and pudding will taste weird together but at least you showed me something new then again I haven't tried it.

  • @Naidalis1 They do go well together. Too well! lol :)

  • the eggs don't suppose to be like red/ orange. It just wrong lol

  • @honeyforeves Healthy eggs are dark. Yellow eggs are poor quality mass produced :)

  • Looks good! Looking forward to trying it!! :)

  • @lilprincessliza Great :)

  • @lilprincessliza Healthy well fed chickens with a good diet should produce orange/red eggs. Yellow eggs are not as healthy.

  • I don't really know how that constitutes layers, I mean, It looks like you just threw a tonne of shit into a bowl. Id probably be ill if i was served that, also theres no cream on top. Epic fail in my book.

  • @Cordi666 I don't use cream. You don;t have to use cream for it to be a trifle. :)

  • woahh, dude, you forgot to put in the beef sauteed with peas and carrots!

  • @sk8kuki2 lol someones been watching friends :)

  • i love triffle but this looks fuckin gross

  • It look good with me!!

    Yummy~~~

  • @SideDark123 Thanks :)

  • @SimpleCookingChannel I really want to make it but I'm lack of ingredient TT.TT. I'm sorry. Do you buy the custard??

  • @SideDark123 Yes you can just buy the custard :)

  • it looks really funny! i think this video is super cute.. i can imagine my boyfriend making something like that x) and you are right, we don't eat with the eyes, but it's always nicer when what we eat not only tastes good but also looks good. maybe if you use little small bowls/glasses since the beginning and do the whole preparation in them instead of mixing it in a big one and serve from it.. it would improve a lot the presentation ;)

  • @RubyRoseDIY :)

  • heres how my family makes trifle and i really recommend you try this. we use homemade pudding and whipped cream, berries(any kind) and the cake

  • @mrarabgamer Sounds great :)

  • WHAT A MESS... YOU 'VE GOT TO BE JOKING

  • @canarsiemarsie Unless you eat food with your eyes what it looks like means nothing. :)

  • @SimpleCookingChannel Never heard of sensory perception and the effects it has on your appetite then. Your first mechanism indicating hunger is sense of smell followed by visionary aids. These triggers set your tastebuds going and cause your mouth to water. This in turn makes your stomach growl because it thinks its being fed when it isnt. Then you get hungry. So yes, you do eat with your eyes and that pile of pig swill would put anyone off their food

  • @Cordi666 Until you have sat in front of my food & smelled it you can't have this opinion. Not sure why you care so much & feel you need to be right. What's your need for validation?

  • rubbish

  • @gallipoli95 It tastes great :)

  • i think it blinked at me

  • @SimonsEpicChannel lol :)

  • What a lie, I clicked on this video to see the trifle on the thumbnail of this video!! Instead I see something that looks something totally different. In a bad way.

  • @whatsernamejos You might like it if you make this :)

  • @whatsernamejos

dont judge food on looks then

  • still keeping it simple, one can tweak this. Making your own custard will taste much better; I use custard powder to make custard. Divide jellies and set 1/2 in the fridge. (I use 3 flavours) Use the liquid portion to pour over the sponge with the sherry so it soaks in, marbling the jelly. Sprinkle a little dessicated coconut over, then pour on the custard. Continue layering to the top. Once jelly is set, chop up and drop it on top like colourful jewels. Fruit can be added if you like. :)

  • @Necronephilim That all sounds very interesting :)

  • it look mess and gross at the same time yuck

  • @soda3689 lol how many troll accounts do you have troll?

  • I think he has made an awesome job really for a bloke. BTW, I am sure it tastes lovely, but my point is, I use jam swiss rolls, line the sides of a trifle dish, so it doesn't look so messy, and on top you use custard, why don't you try some whipped fresh cream and strawberries to decorate, and I also make fresh custard, tastes better than bought ready made. Just sharing what I do, but mate, I am sure yours tastes good too. Merry Christmas!

  • @FoxyFox9601 Thanks for your suggestions :)

  • wtf leave the guy alone! why all these negative comments?! No one forced you to watch this..

  • @pigentoroma What do you mean leave the guy alone!! He made a mess and I'm just airing my point. That's the whole point of being able to leave comments, whether or not they're positive or negative.

  • @OoohMatron1 Just because you don't like the trifle doesn't mean it's not a trifle.

  • @pigentoroma Some people have nothing better to do :)

  • THIS IS NOT A TRIFLE! IT LOOKS A COMPLETE MESS, INFACT IT LOOKS LIKE SOMEONE'S THROWN UP IN A BOWL.......AWFUL

  • @OoohMatron1 Yes this is a trifle. It may not be the way you like but it's still a trifle. :)

  • @OoohMatron1 you are so right

  • why is the egg orange?

  • @ihadnothingtodo That's what colour healthy eggs are. If they are yellow you know you have very low quality eggs :)

  • why no cream on top???

  • @johnnierotten1 I don't put cream on top. Some do some don't :)

  • Ummmm your cake is a tad burnt and you broke the cardinal rule of using a sharp knife on your non stick bakeware....

  • @janebandit It was still very yummy. I use sharp knives on everything. They still work :)

  • looks great

  • @Dragonlady66 Thanks :) It's very yummy :)

  • hard to belive that he only has 65 videos

  • @ElectricGuitarLuver lol i know :)

  • Can u pls make a homemade jelly recipe?!

  • @megabestshows You can just buy crystal jelly from the supermarket & pour hot water into it to make jelly :)

  • Interesting recipe, had never heard of this before!

  • @myvirginkitchen If you try it i hope you like it:)

  • Like the idea of the diff coloured jelly's but think I'll be stinking to the old British recipe my Gran used for the rest. Slice up a jam roll and soak in sherry overnight, do layers as in this but also adding drained tinned fruit, add the jelly last while still a liquid, once set top with whipped cream & hundreds & thousands - most important use maybe half the bottle of sherry & drink the rest whilst eating it :)

  • @missymjclare Yum. That sounds great :)

  • Finally i found the trifle recipe i wanted!!! And now i can make it for christmas this year!

  • @kangakimmy09 Awesome. I hope you like it :)

  • I wouldn't eat that.............he looks dirty

  • @BlueVanilIa Make your own then lol & don't try to eat mine :)

  • WOW! that looks amazing , and i bet its tasty . Screw plates , id stick my head in .

  • yeah! it looks so yummy!!! congratulations men! :)

  • @Camila66902 Thanks :)

  • Lol at,the description box whut avocado taco? Lol

  • @Kateswagg23 hahaha lol i will have to fix that :D

  • omnomnom

  • @MrWardy369 lol :)

  • No offense but, that looks nasty :(

  • @bluRhonda lol it does but it tastes great :)

  • Dam that looks good.

  • @bddblade Thanks :)

  • G'day,

The problem with it is the custard is far too sloppy. Try making a batch of Foster's egg custard which will set.

    ta

    Ralph

  • @RalphButtigieg Thanks for your input :)

  • I'm sure it's very yummy, but it doesn't look very appetising . I clicked cos of the picture at the start and your trifle looks nothing like it.

  • @Solja88 Well the taste is the most important part. :)

  • that is god food

  • @scarynguyen1 Thanks :)

  • those eggs dont look good. looks like they spoil. red?

  • @lovedancin That's a common thing. They were okay. I'm still here :)

  • It may not look appealing to some of you guys who are calling it gross. But looks can be deceiving! Don't judge until you taste it. -__- Some of you guys are just rude.

  • @CKLH Thanks for saying. It's true, presentation might be nice but it means nothing if it doesn't taste nice :)

  • umm did you get stillborn eggs ! ew!

  • @305noi lol no not at all. They were fine. It's common :)

  • The opening is soooo catchy lol XD

  • @kristieawesome2468 Thanks :D

  • looks yummmmmmmmmyyyyyyyy

  • @cheekyshopp Thanks :)

  • any substitute for sherry????

  • @sastch18 You can use Brandy :)

  • @SimpleCookingChannel uhmm I mean non-alcoholic substitute...

  • @sastch18 I can't think of anything :(

  • @SimpleCookingChannel ok thank you so much for the suggestions =)))

  • @sastch18 You are welcome :)

  • can I use regular white bread??

  • @sastch18 Instead of cake mix? You could try but it doubt it would stay together :)

  • @SimpleCookingChannel No...instead of baking cake...can I use ready made bread?

  • @sastch18 Not really but you could try & see how it comes out :)

  • its bburrnt

  • @chanthany1 That adds to the taste if you like it that way :)

  • 4:04 LOL ITS ALIVEEE

  • @juunataku :)

  • LOL I'M AS ROUGH IN THE KITCHEN XD AND I'M A GIRL BAHAHA

  • @juunataku That's good :)

  • Looks disgusting, sorry but it just looks that way :$

  • @luccert That's okay. It may look yuk but it tastes good :)

  • Fish Finger and Custard! :3

  • @SimpleCookingChannel I made a refrence

  • @SimpleCookingChannel Do YOU know the refrence?

  • @cantfiteveryheart I haven't a clue. What is it?

  • Why not just throw it all in a bucket, it would look more attractive.

  • @billps34 I've tried that

  • You know you just mixed a blood filled egg into that right? Gotta watch out for those. Make sure you buy cage free organic eggs.

  • @FASSY524 It just looked like that on the video. It was a much lighter color while i was doing it. :)

  • @FASSY524

Free range eggs are even more likely to be fertilized you know. And furthermore, fresher eggs are almost orange looking. Go to a farm and see.

  • @FASSY524 An blood spot in an egg has nothing to do with not being cage free, nor is it something you can't eat. It is simply a vessel that popped while the chicken was laying.

  • Sloppy

  • @ss2000uk Sure was :)

  • Why was the inside of the egg pink??

  • @spritgirl11 Was it? I didn't notice. :)

  • @SimpleCookingChannel It could of just been the way the light is showing :)

  • great and so easy - thanks.

  • @gsaville1949 You're welcome :)

  • @Dikomate69 lol Thanks. I assume you are being sarcastic. :)

  • i will see if it is good

  • @dejawu007 I tastes great. Hope you enjoy :)

  • This is a joke!

  • @TheYlro It tastes great. If you are into what it looks like buy one from a shop & pay 4 times as much.

  • he didn't mention that you should crack the egg into a separate bowl. And the egg and milk should be room temperature. And the cake looks burned on the top -- i baked my 10 minutes less and got a more golden color on the cake.

  • @bigbearfla No you shouldn't crack an egg in a separate bowl .That's what you do. You can make a trifle however you like. This is my way.

  • If you want to crack an egg with one hand without getting shells in your food try cracking it against a flat surface, like the countertop, instead of a sharp edge.

  • @JessLovelyTranwreck I will try that.

  • simple cooking channel will you marry me pls ? hugs

  • @stigmii lol :)

  • i love your recipe and i think you are gorgeous and hot

  • @stigmii :)

  • hmm looks more like the crap i feed my pigs

  • @shovelshit1 Lucky pigs

  • @shovelshit1 Lucky pigs

  • The picture is NOT the trifle you made, if you wanted to put off anyone ever wanting to try trifle you succeeded!
