San Francisco has again a great responsability as, just like the 60s, people expect from it to be shown the spring of a new musical era, which can lead again to an optimistic and better way of living. history often repeats itself.
This is not from the San Francisco 40th Anniversary of the Summer of Love show in Golden Gate Park Sept. 2, 2007. I have no idea where or when this was taken, but I helped put the show on, and this wasn't it. It'd be nice if this person would quit misleading people.
If you'd bothered to read the description I posted with the video, or even watched it all the way to the end, you would have seen that the date on this is October 20, 2002. I shot it at the 35th anniversary of the Summer of Love, held in the plaza in front of City Hall in San Francisco. I am not misleading anyone who can actually read.
sjaaa , music from the 60 and 70ties, still the best , so pure, I was there on kralingen pop festival, and India ,and so on hahah, so nice people then , with some ideals , make peace not war , do you remember ?/ and now?? money, money , money?? is nothing change?? no,, still more wars and pain , its a pitty , all the best for you all , greatings and love, from aaddrum/Netherlands
Kralingen Pop Festival? Great! I lived across the street from the park 2002-4 and only then did I learn that that's where Pink Floyd and others jammed one summer many moons ago! If only it could happen again today!
like wow man is this stuff ever good...its way out there .,ahhh,i think it is that woogie boogie music with aof a southern and ahh ..ahhh .ahhh .blue grass ya ya that,s it BLUE GRASS like wow man ..i just love this sound.Russ
The flute was played by Jim Horn. Jim was a Los Angeles session player who played on many rock albums and tv shows. He has a web page but I don't have the address. ask google for that
I ABSOLUTELY love vids like these! It just proves that, although, it may be a different generation, we're all addicted to music! Yea, it may have been a different house back then, but we all build our houses on the some ol' foundation!
Thank you, DamienBoy13!!!!!! These youngsters today don't know good music when they hear it. I shuoldn't say all of them, but "most" of them. The 60's music will never die. Like you said, it just keeps coming round again, and again.
Why are some of you so NEGATIVE? The 60's are the best days to relive. Lighten up. It's a lot better than Sha Na Na, reliving the 50's. And a lot better than the rap shit.
it may have missed your attention rockville34 but this isnt the 60's anymore and these guys arent 23 any longer, enjoy and relax
FANTASTIC.....I just recently played with canned heat at the broadbeach blues festival in queensland australia and the boys were hot, I always wanted to hear this song with the flute (im a flute player)the way Al Wilson would have wanted it, straight boogie so they let me play on it... visit my you tube to view, thanks for this great track
This is not Canned Heat on vocals. No way. Poor copy at best. It looks like they had some homeless people put an act on. This was never during the 60's.
Vocalist Bob Hite died in 1981, other members have left or died. Fito de la Parra, the drummer, is the only original band member from the 60s still involved, but it's still Canned Heat.
Ok that was a flashback .Wait we were at woodstock together.....just wanted to let people know they are some bad acid going round only take what you can trust.
One of my fav videos.
