  • Still love it... Always a great moment, when Russell is so IN it, that his voice so charmingly looses all and any 'contenance':-)!

  • This got alot of play in Long Beach KNAC 105.5 rock and rythm radio. I still really enjoy it i guess i havent grown up yet.

  • I marrri-i-ied a Ma-a-a-arti-ian!...

  • only heard it on radio maybe 3 x? never forgot

  • WOW, 25 years since last I heard this song. I always love that voice, Very unique

  • WOW, 25 years since last I heard this song.

  • I miss these guys.

  • @citizenkong I marrried my sisssss

  • Ok fi fi do you remember this one?

  • Great track from that album!

  • Check out Spark's Lil' Beethoven.

    It's really good.

  • wtf do you know how long its been since i heard this? about 25 years KROQ ROCK OF THE EIGHTIES

  • Great era; these bands were at their best in 1980 1981 & 1982 as well :

XTC (Black Sea & English Settlement), Talking Heads (Remain In Light), The Cars (OK they were better in 78 & 79, but Panorama, Shake It Up, & Rics solo record in 1982 were as good as anything at the time), Psychedelic Furs (Debut, Talk Talk Talk, Forever Now), Echo & the Bunnymen (Crocodiles, Heaven Up Here), Simple Minds (Sons and Fascination/Sister Feelings Call, New Gold Dream).

Then came MTV and it was all over

  • Well...

Since the only creative videos being made were by the acts you mention (and a few ithers) - MTV had a huge hand in creating the British New Wave by eposing these groups to an audience beyond that of KROQ listeners.

(Both a good and a bad thing)

  • @sendhimtodetroit Panorama & Shake It up. Back when every song on an albume was single worthy and sounded different from the other. yeah. Those were the times.

  • Awesome song and I take it then that Sparks is an 80's band. Thank You.

  • Only if you skip the 1970s altogether...never heard of This Town Ain't Big Enough for Both of Us ...?

  • @TheJester1962 Well this early 80's stuff was my introduction to this group,.. didn't discover their earlier stuff till afterward. It' my understanding that Sparks 70's music was allot biger in Europe,.. England inparticular because of that whole glam phenomenon,.. so I think that was the case with many american fans.

  • Ah,Sparks. Nuff said.

  • What a great song, i remember this playing while driving my van around main street crusing up and down.

  • thank you so much i have been looking for this song for years, cant find album or cd.

  • My boss at work was playing this song and I was listening to it and couldn't understand what the hell this song is about exactly. If someone could help me understand the lyrics then I would be happy.

  • @roosevelthighschool more importantly, after their married, the man finds that his martian-bride happens to have an insatiable taste for other men, and significant emotional damage ensues.

  • Another winner from this striking SPARKS-album!
