How have you measured gasflow and reduced fuel injection in proportion to gas injection? Unless you tell the ECU to inject less fuel, it will use the same amount no matter what you spray down the air intake! So hydrogen injection alone will not reduce your fuel use, you need to tell the ECU to use far less by calculating peak flow, size of combustion chambers and combinations of gas/fuel used according to speed/revs/engine load. Without that, it's a scam and you're just another gullible idiot.
@urbex2007 It's a 1989 7.3 idi diesel, you pompous little anal wart. It has no ECU. Research before Flaming- it will save you from looking like a fool. For future reference, and not that I hope to EVER hear back from you, the fuel delivery curve was lowered and injection timing was retarded 2 degrees (all mechanically). Pull your head out of your ass, and you'll observe that people have been doing this for some time now and obtaining excellent results without all of the arcane calculations.
@tpvalley TP, there is so much more going on there, and I'm not about to get into another contentious time waster trying to explain it to you. I am ten years into studying this stuff and I'm still learning every day. When you put the time and research into it that I have, you will see how inappropriate your comment is. I promise you that what you learned at university barely scratches the tip of the iceberg. Now be a gent and please don't post any more commentary to my videos.
if a person cant answer simple queries about this then how can they know its benificial or are u one of those people who gets upset when called to explain something?
usually this means the person in question cannot provide the answers and is to weak minded to admit it.
If we cannot admit our deficiencies, explain our beliefs or cope with being wrong or mistaken then there is no point in living, we r all just custodians of knowledge, getting upset when asked to share this is silly.
@tpvalley There is nothing new here TP, do your own research, I'm not going to spoon feed you. Weak minded? Now you are resorting to calling names? That drops you squarely into the category of "troll". I openly admit my deficiencies, explain my beliefs when I feel the person or cause is sufficient to justify it, and cope with being wrong (on many occasions) much better than a lot of people. I just don't care for you and your attitude and won't waste any more time on you. Now please go away, OK?
saying your weak minded isnt a name calling its an observation, I have pointed out what u dont want to admit and your either to stubborn, childish or ignorant to admit it.
Its allways americans who act like u do- u criticise but wont be criticised, u preach but wont be preached to, it is u that needs the attitude check-hypocrite.
@tpvalley The explanation takes way more keystrokes than I will waste on your whiny troll ass. However, your
ERRORS are these:
1.) "..saying your weak minded.." SHOULD BE- "you're"
2.) "..either to stubborn.." SHOULD BE- "too"
3.) "..Its allways americans.." SHOULD BE- "It's" & "Americans"
- I didn't criticize you.
- I didn't preach to you.
- Don't talk down my country, because at some point we have saved your country's ass, and I haven't even bothered to find out what country you're from...
do u think its possible to use a hydrogen generator to provide sole fuel for an engine, all the hydrogen being generated by electricity that is generated by engine generator so that all u need is water to run your engine?
NO its not, u ALWAYS spend more energy creating hydrogen than the energy the hydrogen can provide.
I'm a lousy inverter, even if my ideas were practical the'd never see the Halo of illumination. Besides I'm too lazy to conjure anything besides my mind reading device. Rant aside, you design it & upon visual inspection of your astounding quality; I will surly buy if the price is rite;)
So you've had this system running for almost a year now. What kind of benefits in fuel efficiency have you seen? I run a rig with a 6.9L IDI N/A and never see over 14 MPG (C6 transmission, 3.55 gears). I'd imagine your truck would see similar without accounting for the benefits of the HHO. So what's the story?? Very interested to see whether your efforts here have paid off.
@spencyg80 Actually the system has been out of the truck for a few months now for mods & upgrades. I had a lot of leaks that were plaguing it and the ability to see consistent numbers. The best I recorded was 16.5 mpg, up from 12.5 mpg. This was with an old (180,000 mile) IP and original injectors. I have since got a Baby Moose Pump, new BB injectors and ram cold air from double hood scoops along with a water/meth injection system. I have a lot of projects going and have to ration time to each!
@clflyguy you got a baby moose? how well is that workin out for ya. i want to get a moose, but w/o a turbo, i dont think itd really do me much good. what do ya think?
@460EFI Your right- You know it ranges from Baby Moose (stock with a modded fuel delivery curve for NA engines) then Moose pump (GOT to have a turbo because of more fuel each pop plus modded delivery curve) and finally, Super Moose (Big turbo or twins and for sled pulling or racing only) Way too radical to put on the street. To your first question- I love it! I can't believe how sweet my engine runs now. I'm even thinking of turning it down one flat!
@clflyguy yeah. the baby moose is rated for 60cc, moose is 90, and super is 120. i wonder if mel could do a 75cc version? like a mini moose or somethin? lol. ive heard some guys say that usin the governor spring from a gm 6.2 will help build a little more power cause it takes longer before it starts cuttin fuel. know if theres a way to run em without a governor at all?
@460EFI I don't know.. I do know that there are some very ingenious and creative people out there though and if it can be done then someone has done it somewhere. I'm not sure I'd want to do it though... The temptation to wind it till it pops would be too great!
@clflyguy lol. i hear ya. i figure i could put some softer springs in it, and maybe the valve float will be the "built in" governor. lol. naa. usually, im pretty good bout keepin my stuff under 5k, and with the build i have in mind, 5k should be within safe limits. and considerin how poorly these heads flow, i doubt thered be any power after bout 4500 anyways.
Nice work man! Impressive craftsmanship and I can't even begin to say how cool it is to engineer a top notch hydrogen system like that. Every aspect is done so nice and your truck is very nice too. 10 out of 10! I sort of look at my classic diesel trucks as platforms for engineering and experimentation, so I just love this.
@maxhauler Thank you! You are a kindred spirit then, I see my truck the same way- a testbed for ideas and improvements. Next on the list is ozone makers.. Ozone is O3, so I'm going to see what happens when I provide a tiny percentage of ultra high grade oxygen along with the intake air. I've been digging around in old patents and there is a lot to support the claim of O3 improving combustion, also found some undergrad research from U of Tokyo.-Then the water injection to keep the egt's down.
@northeasteg6 LOL! Yeah, ole Henry likes heating oil just fine, but he prefers me to season it first with a little Power Service Cetane booster and lubricity additive... He says that otherwise it's too dry, and he prefers a sweet fuel. Oh well, you know how these older trucks get sometimes...
@northeasteg6 If I'm running #2ULSD then I do the same thing, a quart of two stroke per tank... But if I'm running heating oil then I try to use the Power Service, or even a mix of P-S and two stroke because heating oil is not nearly as slick as #2ULSD, and #2ULSD isn't as slick as the #2 diesel these injection pumps were designed around, back in the day...
