You're right, it's pretty funny. I also love how for every person like that, there's some carmudgeonly internet badass chiming in with their take on things. Seems you're just as unoriginal as everyone else. I suggest you quit being so uptight buddy boy
Ouch, I see what you've done! Man, I'd be pretty hurt right now if you're weren't a legitimate grown ass man into goth music. By the way, loved the part where you referred to yourself as "the badass", it was almost as cool as when you referred to yourself as a "legacy maker" on your profile. Man oh man, people like you actually exist!
@EPAMASKS You hurt? Ha. How can anybody that thinks so highly of themselves ever get hurt? You are a walking billboard for self-satisfaction. Man, maybe someday I will know what it's like to be so smug. A lowly Peter Murphy fan like myself can dream. You are a living, breathing example of what we should all strive for. Wrapping ourselves as tightly as you do in our own ego should be our only goal. Damn, you are the man! Granted, one who has nothing on their channel to childishly nitpick about.
That chorus is haunting, it's simple, but it's deep. It says "I'm obsessed and depressed, I can't think of anything but Emma" without being that hokey.
This song describes a moment in time, and a feeling, in a way that has rarely been matched in pop music. I honestly believe that, in this way, it is perfect.
Man, why did no comment ever say that this probably one of the greatest pop songs ever written?! They have to rerelease the old Field Mice records. They are way to expensive now and way to good to be witheld from the public.
@reformationposttlc : They can be downloaded from eMusic, and don't cost any more than other records credit-wise. Also, "Where'd You Learn to Kiss That Way?" is an excellent two-disc summation of their career (though it does lack several good songs such as "Humblebee" and "The World to Me"), and I was able to buy it for something like $25 new online back in 2002. As for the original records, I don't know.
LOVE THIS

I love how every song has some pinhead exclaiming how this is "one of the best songs ever." Oh, and they are all underrated too, Daft bunch.

@EPAMASKS You forgot the third response from the sanctimonious windbag who calls out the badass only to look supremely hyper-sensitive and pompous.
