@Chriznak gold and silver maybe able to be manipulated and lose it's value as we see in the stock markets, but it will never be less than it's face value, unlike paper fiat currency, a $5 silver/gold maple leaf or silver/gold eagle will NEVER be less than $5, unlike the $5 dollar bill, you can dump a pile of gold or silver coins in the river and the value is still there. Try doing that with the paper money! Belive me I've ran a $5 or so through the wash and that my friend was $5's lost.
