That movie is based on a series of Left Behind books which are based on a False Teaching and a False Doctrine regarding the Return of Christ. Read Matthew 24 and see in verse 29-31 that Christ does not reurn until after the Tribulation.

I've read a whole bunch of the "Compete Idiot's Guide" books. For jpm's benefit - the Idiot's series always starts at square one and assumes you know nothing about the topic. It's a well known series, with different authors writing on different topics. It's just a catchy name for the books. I think Richard's decision to write for them was a smart move to reach many people. The message (i.e., Biblical end times are NOW) needs to get out there. Too many people are clueless about it.
