Bank of America did this, in various tricky ways, Goldman Sachs and JP Morgan do this all the time, on the sly. The whole business is very sly.

As one can see from recent money games, the banks are using the carry trade to get funny money to speculate on derivatives...which was the bank recently that profited from derivatives that speculated on it's own credit deterioration?!
