hey question people how would this fair up on my pc 1 gig ram, 2.53 pentium 4 (yes itws a single core i know ) and a 256 mb video card with pixel shader and all that good stuff and of course direct x 10, dont responfd like a asshole or ill cram your dick into your fucking 6000 dollar pcs processer fan and skull fuck your dog, now somebody please tell me how this would performe :) thanks :D.

Even overclocked to 4 GHz, the Celeron D was only equivalent to roughly a 2.5 to 2.8 GHz Pentium 4. The on-die cache was terrible. So, in other words, the performance would be even better if the processor was not bottle-necking the game.

i got a 7800 gs 512 a P4 2.8 overlocked to 3.1GHZ. and i run GTA 4 with 5 FPs on high setting , 25-50 using riva tunner which means overlocking this queen agp card

but u have to overlock the driver as well

Throw away this Celeron and get P4 (or Pentiumd) Cpu , larger cache and Hyper threading are more important than clock speed ,...I had a Celeron D 3.2 at 5.14 on Air , It actually played GTA4 @ 25fps....

Yes. I have an AMD 2600+ and it bottleneck an EVGA 7800GS 256MB. Of course the mobo has a 333MHz FSB.

Are you running 400MHz or 333MHz FSB? A little can go a long way.

its not the cards fault, its the processor that it has to follow the procedures from. The processor takes all the things that are going on in the game and has to compute it. The 7800 GS is just there to alleviate the graphics and physics in the game. So in short the celeron is not up to par with crysis. You are just forcing you system to throw up.

if your gonna play crysis with an agp, get the new ATI RadeonHD 3850 by HIS. its got 720mhz core clock, memory clock 1,820mhz affective with 512mb GDDR3... not bad for agp huh...

I don't think it would make much of a difference. He wouldn't want to run this game in direct X 10 mode since it'd take a big performance hit and his celeron D, even overclocked is probably limiting his overall performance more than the 7800. Not worth the money to upgrade. Those 7800 GS's are super overclockable.
