It looks like after Lyle Large grabbed his toothbrush and took it away off screen, he forgot to put toothpaste onto his toothbrush because, as soon as his toothbrush went off screen, you can hear him start to brush his teeth. Unless, he put the toothpaste on very fast and started brushing very fast. (Usually, I was told when I was very young that only a little bit of toothpaste on the toothbrush is enough but, for Lyle Large, I guess he has to put a lot more on his very big toothbrush).
And who played Lyle Large? If it's Marty P. Robinson, It very well be a Blue Screen (Chroma Key) effect. Because Marty P. Robinson is doing Dicky Tick.
Who is doing Lyle Large? It can be possible that it could be Marty P. Robinson if they used the blue screen. Because Marty P. Robinson is doing Dickey Tick.
@humble246 too bad there was no other episode of "Lifestyles of the Big and Little", otherwise Dicky could be a "pervert" as you say, looking up at a giantess
On days that won't stop I still hear Sylvia Little in my head, running around her itty bitty bedroom - "run and run and run and run and run and run..." LOL
Dickie Tick is right about the bed being so big, it would't all fit in the picture, as well as not being able to reach Lyle Large for comment. That's just how I feel about making films with giants in them.
Sylvia Little is so cute! "Fabulous!" What a tiny voice. Dicky is so funny. In fact, his ending was the funniest ending I've ever heard! The part with Lyle Large was kinda funny, too. THANKS!!!
I certainly remember this one, with great effects for the BIG (deep groaning) and little ("Run-run-run-run, run-run-run-run...") segments; Marty Robinson sure delivered a fine Robin Leach-esque voice for Dickie Tick; there was also great disco music a la "Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous" to boot! A fine sketch during the last leg of the time when Sesame Street was really good. "Ciao, bambinos!"
i remember watching this when i was little

This was brilliant! I still have this sketch taped on video.
Was Lyle Large just a normal size man?
The skit was a spoof of Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous right?

Anybody remember the cartoon in which a girl's two sneakers talk about the four seasons?
ChipmunkRaccoon2 2 years ago
Yes, I remember that skit. That girl's name was Issadora who wore those two sneakers.
afriendofbean 2 years ago
glad someone besides me remembers
ChipmunkRaccoon3 2 years ago
I think the girl's name is spelled with one 's'.
Also, those sneakers were converse hightops
Anyway, I'm glad someone besides me remembers.

Dickie Tick is right about the bed being so big, it would't all fit in the picture, as well as not being able to reach Lyle Large for comment. That's just how I feel about making films with giants in them.

Yes that's right. Dicky Tick mentioned from 2:23-2:29 that he wanted to talk to Lyle Large but he couldn't be reached for comment.
