  • i remember watching this when i was little

  • Ah another segment I forgot, thank you so much for refreshing my memory :)

  • I've had "run run run run run" stuck in my head for years. I'm so glad I found this. Favorite!

  • 1:09 to 1:48:

    VOYEURISM!!!

  • Wow lol I am shocked on how much I remember from all these old Sesame Street videos from 15-20 years ago.

  • Awesome!!

  • If only I could run like Sylvia Little - "Run run run run, run run run run, run run run run..."

  • lol...i rem when i was little i always wanted that little dot as a pet or something....and have that little house in my room lol

  • This was brilliant! I still have this sketch taped on video.

Was Lyle Large just a normal size man?

The skit was a spoof of Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous right?

  • @grimTales1 what do YOU think?

  • @ChipmunkRaccoon3 I think it was! :D

  • @grimTales1 well heaven only know who played Lyle, but he was definately played by a normal sized man

  • Haha I remember this! =)

  • It looks like after Lyle Large grabbed his toothbrush and took it away off screen, he forgot to put toothpaste onto his toothbrush because, as soon as his toothbrush went off screen, you can hear him start to brush his teeth. Unless, he put the toothpaste on very fast and started brushing very fast. (Usually, I was told when I was very young that only a little bit of toothpaste on the toothbrush is enough but, for Lyle Large, I guess he has to put a lot more on his very big toothbrush).

  • This skit was first shown in episode 2580 in 1989.

  • I always thought the giant was too scary watch during my childhood.

  • Wow i thought this was so cool when i was little lol but Lionel Large was kinda scary because he was huge!!!!

  • @agentdefault Lyle Large, not Lionel.

  • @tpirman1982 lol thanks...haven't watched this since I was younger and thats what I thought he's name was :D

  • BTW: Sylvia little is small black ball, not a muppet. It's computer animation.

  • And who played Lyle Large? If it's Marty P. Robinson, It very well be a Blue Screen (Chroma Key) effect. Because Marty P. Robinson is doing Dicky Tick.

  • you might be right, but who knows

  • @BuddyBoy600 Joey Mazzarino.

  • @BuddyBoy600 Marty could audition for Nicky/Trekie Monster, they have same vocal style but Marty has a twang

  • great music

  • Anybody remember the cartoon in which a girl's two sneakers talk about the four seasons?

  • Yes, I remember that skit. That girl's name was Issadora who wore those two sneakers.

  • glad someone besides me remembers

  • I think the girl's name is spelled with one 's'.

Also, those sneakers were converse hightops

Anyway, I'm glad someone besides me remembers.

  • @ChipmunkRaccoon2 i've been looking for that actually.

  • @Wheeloffortunefan999 no kiddin

  • I saw this when I was very young (probably a toddler) and it gave me nightmares. True story.

  • really? Just outta curiousity, what was it about this that gave you nightmares?

  • RotFL at 0:32-1:00! Wow, I totally forgot about this!!!!!

  • lyle large is a classic!!!! lol

  • care to explain why?

  • ciao, bambinos! lol

  • Lyle Large always terrified me.

  • why, cuz he was so, I dunno, big?

  • or cuz he mostly seemed to sound like an animal?

  • Who is doing Lyle Large? It can be possible that it could be Marty P. Robinson if they used the blue screen. Because Marty P. Robinson is doing Dickey Tick.

  • pervert looking at her while she has a bath

  • @humble246 That would of funny if she says, "AAAAAAH!! A man!"

  • @humble246 too bad there was no other episode of "Lifestyles of the Big and Little", otherwise Dicky could be a "pervert" as you say, looking up at a giantess

  • I was looking for this!! Thanks so much for posting it. <3

  • On days that won't stop I still hear Sylvia Little in my head, running around her itty bitty bedroom - "run and run and run and run and run and run..." LOL

  • aw, i forgot about this! cute

  • i so remember this, thank you for posting this. i have been looking for this!!!

  • Been looking for this for ages!! Thanks!!!

  • i really love this! thanks for posting it! i think this is one of the classic works from sesame street (:

    5 stars from me! (:

  • her bed should be smaller, her whole body fits on the pillow.

  • I'm so glad this is here! This is my all-time favorite skit.

  • Anyone requesting to see the other Dicky Tick clip, it's been posted as of tonight. Just let to you know.

  • CUTE

  • Dickie Tick is right about the bed being so big, it would't all fit in the picture, as well as not being able to reach Lyle Large for comment. That's just how I feel about making films with giants in them.

  • Yes that's right. Dicky Tick mentioned from 2:23-2:29 that he wanted to talk to Lyle Large but he couldn't be reached for comment.

  • Those slippers look like women's. I'd like to see somebody try to remake the big part and replace Lyle with a woman.

  • Sylvia Little is so cute! "Fabulous!" What a tiny voice. Dicky is so funny. In fact, his ending was the funniest ending I've ever heard! The part with Lyle Large was kinda funny, too. THANKS!!!

  • was it cuz the big fella "couldn't be reached for comment" or something else?

  • You legend! I've been afer this one for yonks!

    Ciao Bambinos!

    xXx

  • WOW. I remember this. Dickie Tick is so cute and funny. Ciao bambinos ah the memories.

  • I certainly remember this one, with great effects for the BIG (deep groaning) and little ("Run-run-run-run, run-run-run-run...") segments; Marty Robinson sure delivered a fine Robin Leach-esque voice for Dickie Tick; there was also great disco music a la "Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous" to boot! A fine sketch during the last leg of the time when Sesame Street was really good. "Ciao, bambinos!"

  • Omg i've been looking for this one for aaaaages! Thanks so much for posting it...wow this takes me back lol.
