Thanks for the correction. We really just went with the katakana to try & be cool - it's more of a 'kitch' kind of thing, which was intentionally phonetic rather than a correct translation. As I understood it (and I won't pretend I know Japanese!), the katakana we used translates to, "pi-ke-seru-ko-ko". I hope this won't offend anyone, as it's much more an aesthetic decision than a linguistic one! Do you reckon it's a bad move?
We spent quite some time getting the controls to feel right. If you swipe straight through the ball, it will go in that direction, but by swiping across the edge of the ball, you control it's direction & the amount of swerve on it. By keeping the swipe lower (ie. more horizontal), the player can keep the shot low. It's a system that we think works really well & we're quite excited to get it out there!
We're just finishing off the website & intend to put a few tutorials up there very soon...
"ピケセル" is SO wrong.
The Japanese for "pixel" is "ピクセル".
If you want to sound cool, it would be better to ask a real Japanese how to write the name of your company.
It's not that hard, buddy... :)

Wooooha, looks deeply cool. Does the way you flick the ball affect the amount of swerve then? How do you keep it low?
Gotta get it. But then I got to have anything in football gaming.
