Tomlin is a more intelligent Coach than Cowher ever was.
Cowher had many loosing seasons, but the Rooney's were very patient with him. He finally got the one for the thumb after 15 years!!! Another NFL franchise would have removed him after about 5 years.
For example, the Steelers were 6-10 with loosings records a few times under Cowher. They were 8-8 in 2006 the year before Tomlin took over.
The Steelers are not only a great organization, but Mike Tomlin is a fine young coach who will only improve with the passage of time. The man has only had the job for 3 years (with a Superbowl title ALREADY on his resume', by the way). Why would anyone, with a shred of common sense, attempt to compare him to his predecessors after such a short amount of time? Chuck Noll & Bill Cowher endured several losing seasons, EACH; with no one, at any given time, wishing they would leave town. PATIENCE!

People down below just shut up. Pittsburgh has one season were they go 8-8 & ppl think he's a bad coach. He's a great coach & every team goes thru a bad slump year. It didn't help tht Troy, & Aaron Smith were out w/ injury & the CBs only had 1int all year. Theres a reason why Pittsburgh have only had 3coaches. The Rooney's know what they're doin & Mike isn't leaving anytime soon

Tomlin is a more intelligent Coach than Cowher ever was.
Cowher had many loosing seasons, but the Rooney's were very patient with him. He finally got the one for the thumb after 15 years!!! Another NFL franchise would have removed him after about 5 years.
For example, the Steelers were 6-10 with loosings records a few times under Cowher. They were 8-8 in 2006 the year before Tomlin took over.

The Steelers are not only a great organization, but Mike Tomlin is a fine young coach who will only improve with the passage of time. The man has only had the job for 3 years (with a Superbowl title ALREADY on his resume', by the way). Why would anyone, with a shred of common sense, attempt to compare him to his predecessors after such a short amount of time? Chuck Noll & Bill Cowher endured several losing seasons, EACH; with no one, at any given time, wishing they would leave town. PATIENCE!

All you people who say Mike Tomlin Needs to be fired have not been paying attention for the last 15 years. Pittsburgh does not fire coaches to placate overreactive fans. Tomlin is a good coach. The team that some of you claim he inherited from Cowher was the same one who finished 8-8 in Cowher's last year and lost in the first round to the Jags. Yes it has been a tough year but Tomlin will right the ship.
