Hi there - It's fine. There is no virus in Cain & Abel. This is normal behaviour for AntiVirus software.

Pls see this exctract from Wikipedia:

search for Cain_and_Abel_(software)

Some virus scanners detect Cain and Abel as malware.

@ELITECOMMANDO90 - I think what EliteCommando90 is trying to say is that he/she thinks one of the pieces of softare involved has AdWare in it. Cain & Abel certainly does not contain AdWare and Etherchange is only a command line tool. Therefore any AdWare Elitecommando90 has managed to pick up is from other actions they've performed on the internet. Unless EliteCommando90 would care to elaborate as to why he/she thinks that? @wakan00: It's a good question and gets asked all them time. The answer is it won't be secure. If it had a password on it then how could people connect in the first instance to submit thier credentials or pay for the service. These hotspots invariably take the form of paying for a scratch card at the information desk or by having a subscription with a firm. You then log on to the WiFi network and are presented with a portal page. Any attempt to go further internet brings you back to the portal

I wish I could. The point is that often, when you are travelling your only option is to use the WiFi in the Airport or Hotel. Obviously, if there is a Maccy Dees with WiFi then it's a no brainer.

@planetoftheapez - You're welcome. I figured it out because I resent paying good money to a hotel and then being expected to pay for 1 night's internet the same as I'd pay for a month of broadband at home. If your local coffee shop can provide it free then why not 5 star hotels.
