...do these guys write any of ...what?! I may be sounding young here, I'm only 36, and yes CCR was a great band... but were talking about the Dropkick Murphys. When I was a kid when I saw these guys and now I'm taking my kids to they're shows. This band stands for the working class, blue collar patriots with serious Irish pride. There is no zzzz at these places and I assure you, their fans are not ninety pound nothings. Shaved heads and boots welcome, but no pussys allowed.

@fionnoc plenty, they have special compilations with covers on them like this song, and they cover a couple traditional songs on their main albums but it's always a much different sounding song than the original. theres plent of originals on their 7 albums

I rate this not only as a great cover, but one of the best ever covers I've ever heard. Maybe banannarama's venus or metallicas turn the page, but it's right up there. And PS; I'm no bannanarama fan, just comparing the cover to the original. Oh, and Martika 'I hear the earth move.' Just Oh so much better than the original, no disrespect to CCR.

God alternate cover, great logo. I saw ccr revisted at the local fair a few years ago, there was one founding member left in the band, they operate a couple counties down from where I live, the did a good job the same as this band, but this version puts a little be more wicked in this renditon, like the orginal intended to be a rebel song back in the day.
