Just like how there is no true thing as cold because it is the absence of heat and how darkness is just the absence of light, there is no true thing evil. You can't measure cold or darkness, they're just the absence of heat and light. Evil is the absence of allowing God's love in your heart.

Yes, it still seems "unfair" for lack of a better word, but God knew that that was what would have to happen to save people's sins...
