This is a 3/4" blade, that's already too thin in my opinion. I prefer a 1" blade. All of which are available at TCSS.

Nope. Polycarbonate blades do not break easily. They're the same material Police use for riot sheilds.

As a skilled artisan, his lightsabers are reasonably priced to what I would consider "cheap." I don't know your price range, but if you expect something like this to cost similarly to a Hasbro Force FX lightsaber, you'll be disappointed. There are DIY kits and parts you can procure and make yourself something similar for 300-400 dollars. Tips and tutorials are free and advice to build and solder are there.

Nice work. One more thing you can do to make it more believable as a lightsaber is to install a small vibrator.

I think it will fit well with the humming noise it emits when it is on.

You will get the impression that you are holding a real and powerful weapon.

It's critical to find a vibration that fits the weapon.

It shouldn't be too fast and intense, but maybe slow and strong.
