The m4a1 is one of the best and one of the most underrated and under used guns in the cod series. This is def my go 2 gun, i always had a m4 class in mw2 and mw3. If the damage was just a bit higher than i think people would use this gun more than the ACR. Got it gold on mw3, red dot & silencer i find works well and stability or focus with ext mags is also good.

The m16 did not outclass the m4 in cod4. The recoil box was lower on the m4 and the rate of fire was much higher than the rate of the fire in the m16 (within the burst).

@rastalocks13 2 different guns, It is in the CAR-15 family, that includes The AR-15, the M16, and M4 Carbine, and all their variants.

A Carbine is a shortened version of a rifle. The M4 is the Carbine version of the M16A2.

It is considered to have a super-short barrel at 11.5-inch barrel, compared to the 14.5 inch barrel of the M4 Carbine.

Due to its compact size, the Commando was issued to US troops, even after the Vietnam War, due to the tactical advantage of a smaller weapon.

I liked the m4a1 when i played mw3 my goal is to get gold for every assualt wep i usaually prestige so i usaually hav to get 1 gold assult wep per prestige, i liked the m4a1 when i played it the thing is i always get like 2 shotted by the acr for some reason a lot when i was using the m4a1
