Copilot is unreliable, sometimes it just doesnt find your position. Entering a destination can be a pain in the backside and time consuming compared to tomtom. The 7 digit postcode search on copilot does not give you a single address but like a dozen roads to chose from sometimes your destination road aint there!
Also the routes that copilot gives is useless far too often sending you on 10 20 or 30 mile detours that nobody wants regardless of what setting you have it on.
@theunits3 Maybe im a dummy but.. Can u please explain the hype around "Google Live search" feature? How is it better than the Native search thats inside the app already?? The search also gives u address, phone number, directions.. AND WORKS FASTER!
I know everything "Google" is good and yummy and great and everyone is hyped at the very word.. but in ACTUALITY, what functionality does it actually add to the app that wasn't ALREADY THERE?? (and working faster than the new google live search)
@SIRUS80 I guess its experience. Google have been well known for their search features. Take a look at the maps app in the iPhone - why did Apple go with Google? Simple, it was and is the best (UI and functionality). Yes, the TomTom appisnt that bad but Google beats it.

Both apps have the SAME MENU :-) and do the same function.. except one thing (and feel free to test it yourself) - the TomTom app streams seach results as soon as you type 1 letter, where as the Google one takes much longer to generate results.

tomtom is the best and i have the hd traffic 1 yr subscription and i can say its top dog its great just as good as any stand alone tomtom, i have the car kit as well. i have used copilot and its shit DO NOT BUY THIS copilot is shit i had it for a week with the traffic got me stuck in traffic for over 1hr and the copilot app crashes all the time, back to the traffic tomtom hd traffic uses more sources than copilot hense the HD bit. as ive said b4 you only get what you pay for buy tomtom
@Mrshane2010 ok but tomtom 1.3 doesnt actually RE-ROUTE YOU in cases of bad traffic! It just shows u that traffic is coming up ahead on your route.. it doesn't actually re-direct you to AVOID the traffic! even when u press the "minimize delays" button.
(I have the tom tom app and the live traffic subscribtion, needless to say)

yeah not bad apps but the device is little good to me until they introuduce an easily removable and replaceable spare type battery because i can't stand the crap longevity of the bats on these devices
@theunits3 I thought tom tom would be my favorite when both launched but I was deff mistaken ! I think you'll really like it ! it has live traffic update but for a one time payment of I believe 20 bucks or 40 and that's it never pay again !
TomTom Live Traffic is a Strange Feature. It just shows u where traffic is on your route , doesn't actually re-route you!!! Even when u press the "minimize time delays" button. Well...at least u get the Joy of ANOTHER payment on top of he expensive app...arrgghh!!
Other than that the 1.3 update is quite good, I must say.
