looks like the alfa driver had a bit of a shock after he locked his breaks just before a turn... the next turn he was breaking early and this was the chance for the abarth to overtake. racing has also gotta do with your psychological state and doesnt just rely on the car and talent!

@61giorgione da appassionato quale sono d ABARTH le 1000TC tenevano testa e come alle altre case x il passo corto e la carreggiata stretta, il motore brillante le faceva molto veloci; addirittura sulle TCR il motore poteva sviluppare anke 115 CV e +... nella cronoscalata CASTIONE NEVIANO valevole x il campionato italiano montagna su 7 edizioni ben 3 se le aggiudicarono le ABARTH

With flat head about 105 to 110 hp. With Radially head (hemihead) about 125hp. Weight is 1230 lbs according to D Sedan regulations in the 1960's and early '70s when I used to drive one.
