Thanks for the feedback Matt - I cannot help with the first aid contact but would give the British Mountaineering Council a ring as a start or just google it and see what comes up.

ps if you are wondering why I am up at 12.15 am its because the pager has just gone off for a rescue on Scafell Pike and I am sat here waiting for more details before I jump in the car and go off.
