We should be marching with pitchforks and torches on Washington NOW but that will not happen.
It's not a liquidity problem. It's a debt problem compounded by the loss of manufacturing jobs making payment of those debts difficult or maybe impossible.

whats amazing is that america is somehow still ignoring everyone who was right and still listening to the people who were wrong...truly amazing..unfortunately america deserves whats comming and its the only way we will learn our lessons in the benifits of tru free markets and non intervention
Im not that optimistic, for example the communist experiment we had in the 30s (great depression) even though it was caused by gov it ended up being blamed on the free market of all places...fast forward to this crisis, guess who got the blame yet again..the free market. Anyway we must keep our hopes up and try to save America.
@slickbtk I try to talk sense into people but the fail to want to listen to the truth. They enjoy the fantasy life I guess. I suppose we'll need riots and bread lines to wake people up.
@jeremyraybrown no doubt that it will have to get real bad to wake up the masses, but until then the masses will drive around with their obama/mccain bumper stickers and will go about their business with ignorance until they are blindsided by reality, this reality will certainly involve bread lines, gas lines, shortages, repo of american businesses and assets by foreign creditors, and so on. but the bright side is we will then live in a generation of intelligence as intelligence is born of need
