  • I took mirapex for a year. At first it made me VERY sick but I was so desperate for symptom relief. Since I had heard that the sickness was normal for the first few days I decided to cut even the smallest dose in half and stick with it. Every month j had my dose increased and the sickness went a way. I stopped taking it b/c It was a little pricey and I didn't think if was even making much of a difference. I was wrong though...my pain came back tenfolds. I still don't want to get back on it ....

  • @Rhondamarie00 because ive researched it since then and it can have long term side effects that I dong want. I now take malic acid and 5htp....they really help. Google them! God bless

  • See website pharmagonewilddotorg

  • Best of Luck to you

  • Tiredness climbing the stairs? A Mirapex side effect is 'sudden sleep attacks' I had one of those at the top of my 13ft staircase. Two back surgeries later, I have rods and pins in my back (spent a month in rehab learning to get around again) The disgusting part is the mftr of this drug knew this could happen (FDA knew also) and sold it anyway. Surf the net under mftr's name with the word penalties attached. Google Dopamine Agonist Withdrawal Syndrome. Worst exp of my life. Still not recovered

  • it was frustrating and painful to listen to you talk about Mirapex. I urge you to explore other options. I, myself would eat mud first. Before you think about introducing this drug into your body make sure you read the mayo clinic study. As many as 3 in 5 people will develop Impulse Control disorders so severe on this medication, their lives will be upended to such an extreme that some have even committed suicide. I know this feeling well as I was one who tried.

  • Please be aware of the sad and horrific side effects of Mirapex. Mirapex was great for my restless legs but ruined my life! Don't think it won't happen to you. If you decide tot ake it, please have your family asnd friends monitor your behavior. On it, you can't be trusted to monitor your own. I have fibro and know how easy it is to celebrate when you find something that works. Your video is great. Can you add your voice to warn fellow fibro afflicted people? Please check out my video for info

  • hello, nothing worked for me , lyrica gave some relief , i have constant pain from head to toe , in my fourth week of migrane , your blogs are great , its like someone telling me what i am feeling , AND I AM A GUY 48 years from ireland !! keep up the blogs missy .

  • Yes please keep them coming

  • Hey missy I hope things get better for you, & be carefull with those prescription meds.... my sister has fibromyalgia and her doctor has had her on dozens of different pills. effectively turning her into a junkie....yet she still has the symptoms...only now she's dependant on drugs that don't even really work. Keep up the fight, keep on smilin' sexy ; ) God Bless...

  • Hey, I can really relate. My name is Linda. A few years ago, I was where you are now, and I am 37. I have had Fibro probably since I was a teenager. I take Colloidal silver (natural) for an immune booster, since I am prone to getting sick alot. I used to get restless leg syndrome but it stopped when I started taking tonic water before bed. It has quinine in it, which is an ingredient you can buy seperately from a vitamin/health section if you can't stand the soda.

  • Hi there,

i have been prescribed lyrica.....i have found it works well but still feel pain but at least i can move around....i stopped taking it for a week and i was bed ridden from pain and stiffness....am back on it now.....i totally understand your suffering. i will speak to my dr about mirapex.......i am over taking tablets.....thanx for the info

  • Well done , congratulations on your job - you're an inspiration to others. Thank you for sharing ( this may seem silly, but as I'm watching you speaking I keep thinking that you're Scottish ... ) I live across the water from you , in the UK. I commented on your other video re: Fibromyalgia, which I was diagnosed with in 2006, it caused me to stop working as a care & support worker with special needs children & adults, I've just started looking on youtube for people who have the condition.

  • Hi there from someone who has lived with Fibro for many years now. I have tried many prescription medications that worked for a short time. I have finally found a new medication that seems to actually be working pretty good. I know you mentioned Mirapex but there is also Cymbalta. Now that is an anti-depressant but it is working for me. So much so that I could finally get off the Oxycontin that I was on. Luckily for me I have a very understanding husband who helps me tremendously! Good luck!

  • Have you been tested for lyme disease? You know that there is a cause of your pain and suffering....you just need to find it. I'm sure you have learned all of this but just in case, tons of people have lived for years with a fibro diagnosis and later learn it is Lyme. You can get back to me if you want more details, I have lyme and make video blogs, i don't have the pain you do, but am quite sick. I hope you get some relief soon.

  • My doctor did prescribe this for me but it made me SO SO SO sick that the medication was worse than the fibro to begin with.
