1. Start regedit.

2. Navigate to HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT

3.find 'lnkfile'

4. Delete the IsShortcut registry value (1 time only)

5. Restart

no need to search all

It works for me... half way. When you click on IsShortCut, Yours says, "Deleting certain registary values could cause the system instability. Are you sure you want to permanetly delete this value?" Well, mine says, "Edit string" and It says its value name is IsShortcut. Then it tells me to type in a Value data and then to click OK or cancel. I need some help.

@CityHunter84 its also showing the computer its a short cut to original file after you delete this you may not be able to pin stuff to the task-bar since i think it uses those little icons for help this happened to be by the way can you tell me if this happened to you
